Welcome to our first murder! All of this should be on the pages, but just in case, here's a post to elaborate what will go on in the investigation.

HERE is a link to the Google document for the investigation. You're free to take notes as long as it's mod-approved ---- aka, no sabotaging the case.

PLEASE MAKE TUMBLR POSTS ABOUT YOUR FINDINGS IF YOU ASK QUESTIONS ON DISCORD.

If you are Discord-bound, just let us know, and we'll help put together a post with your findings.

You are free to ask any of the hosts questions about the case ---- while they're certainly glad to help, they will ONLY have the knowledge the guests have.

While the Queen knows everything about the case, she will only answer when she deems it necessary to give you certain information. However, she will also be glad to give you slight hints as to where to look.

NONE OF THE HOSTS WILL CONFIRM ALIBIS, EXCEPT FOR BOUND GUESTS OR UNLESS A HOST IS SPECIFICALLY INTERACTED WITH. For example, if your character has been punished in a way that forces them to be absent for the murder, the host will confirm their alibi then.

You can PM the group as well as blckstrbbt / suitstuffing / gospelofdismay, tearsdivine / darlindevil, or in a private message in Discord. Asks to popgoesparadise are preferred, but you may question us and post your findings.

YOU MAY CHECK ROOMS TWICE. In fact, we encourage this. There’s always the possibility of a muse missing something; do note that GENERAL STORYLINE ITEMS will not be found during investigations, as we don’t want to distract from the murder.

TALKING TO EACH OTHER IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Not only with muns, but with other muses. They may know something ---- not to mention the fact that one of them is the murderer.

Please be courteous to other members, and don't try looking for every single piece of evidence; this isn't a competition to see who can find the most items, this is a collaborative effort into finding the murderer.

Do NOT add your own evidence into the document without asking the mods; if you have guesses about items and their locations, please send the mods a message. 

Once all evidence has been found, you will take everything you know and present it at the trial in order to figure out who the culprit is. Remember, you only have TWO CHANCES to get the culprit right.

Please do NOT rush the mods for responses about inquiries and evidence! We will reply as quickly as we can, but investigations could take anywhere from a couple of days to a week depending on speed and other events.

Trigger warnings: Blood, death

         Perhaps it’s the tune of “POP GOES THE WEASEL” that wakes you up, or maybe it interrupts a nice morning walk, a chance for breakfast, or a morning exercise -------- but the next thing you hear is a familiar voice over the intercom.

                       "Dear guests, please join us in                         the throne room. There is a most                         urgent matter to attend to. Don't                         worry for bringing your mask ----                         you won't need it for this."

        You make your way to the throne room, blending in with the other guests as you move, not knowing what to expect. The Queen had always been partial to giving you signed invitations, even for the talks about the hallucinations. This was...very UNUSUAL.

        When you enter the throne room, you see the four most recent bound guests released. All of them look as if they'd been just getting up, as if their chains have just freed them, but they're glancing upwards ---- when you follow their gaze, you can see why.

        A large projector screen had lowered, and upon it shines the image of the guest you recognize as BLACK HAT ---- surrounded by roses, a horrific ( or, perhaps ironically, HORRIFIED ) expression on his face, thorns stabbing into his dark flesh and clothes and making the scene bloodier than you'd expect it to be.

                     "This fellow's yelling had alerted us                       to what had likely transpired --------                      a MURDER has occurred, dear guests.

                     After a period of investigation, we will                      proceed to have a trial in which we will                      either find and judge our criminal...

                     Or we will simply execute whoever you                      vote for. You are our guests, but you are                      also our JURY. Your vote will decide who                      lives and who dies, who will be punished                      for the crime that you see before you."

        The Queen's voice rings out across the room, and you can't help but feel your stomach turn. It looks like a place outside, and you can recognize some of the rosebushes, but now you wonder if you'd even see them the same way.

                     "Your task currently is simple: you will                       investigate the scene of the crime, find                       whatever evidence is present, speak to                       others about what they have seen...or,                       well, heard.

                     Once you have finished, we will call you                      back into the throne room, where we will                      proceed to have our TRIAL. At that point,                      we will bring together all of the evidence,                      and you will vote for whoever committed                      the crime in your eyes.

                     Now, Popgoes X will guide you to the scene                      of the crime, and you should proceed from                      there. I think a few members of the Stone                      Wing will also have some observations to                      share with you..."

Now freed from her restraints-- Adell would call the attention of the nearest animatronic with a whistle. (They're not dogs, Adell.) "A' serious question--- is the Popgoes X fella the terminator?"

            The first one in her view would be Popgoes himself ---- unfortunately. Then again, maybe it’s for the best, he’d probably give an honest and totally unbiased opinion, right?

                       “...no. He’s not. Also, that’s a rather OLD                       movie you’re bringing up, hm?

                       But ---- Popgoes X is a more...recent                       addition. I certainly don’t approve of him,                       but whatever our Queen says does go,                       and I’m happy to follow her orders...

                       ...questionable as they are.”

Adell has also learned that Terminator is considered a “rather old” movie here. Hm. How could that be?

Whether that hallucination meant anything or not, Leo's suspicions were getting to him. He wants to investigate the throne room for anything out of the ordinary that could point to what lies the crow's sign spoke of.

       Upon approaching the throne room, Leo could hear voices ---- it sounds as if the Queen is speaking with someone. How odd.

                                             “Ebonivory has already told me.                                              They were once...your fellows,                                              right? The ones who...?”

              “We were only there one night.               Not enough to pick up names,               but why would they be here?               They should have left years               ago, and to come back like               that...!”

                                              “I told Ebonivory to keep an                                               eye out for more hallucinations                                               of that sort, but we will have                                               to warn the guests about this.                                               Some of them may have seen                                               these new hallucinations by                                               now...”

               “...do you think it’s because of--”

                                               “You? I’m not sure. It’s been a                                                few years, as you’ve said. We                                                should remain cautious...”

               “...yes, my Queen.”

Chapter 1 - Do We Just Photosynthesize?

        When you wake up, you find yourself presented with another letter, telling you to come back to the throne room. Again, the special addition of “please wear your mask” is tacked on, so you grab it and head on your way ---- past the rooms of your wingmates, past the stained glass, and into the large throne room.

         By now, surely you can recognize some of your fellow guests with just their masks ---- perhaps a friend, or an acquaintance, but either way, this may be the closest you’d get to seeing a familiar face.

          Instead of the two squirrel animatronics on either side, you instead see two weasels ---- one of them you recognize as Popgoes, but the other seems to be...a stranger version of him. TALLER, as if someone took him and stretched him out, with sharp teeth and a more colorful hat.

                    ( Would he KILL someone? Jesus. )

           Before you can turn and whisper or even think of doing so, the familiar voice of the Queen rings out. Indeed, the rabbit-like shape behind the curtain seems to be rather...active.

                                 “Good morning, dear guests. I am                                   sure that you’ve taken the time to                                   process the situation at hand. You                                   may have been questioning --------                                   ‘what do we do? how do we get out?’                                   And under more natural circumstances,                                   I would be glad to reassure you that                                   there is nothing to fear.”

           The Queen’s pause seems to stretch over you and your fellow guests. "More natural circumstances” would dictate that this was an elaborate PRANK, not just something out of a nightmare, surely!

                                  “As it is, we will provide you with a                                    special event ---- an incentive, if                                    you wish to speak in fair terms, a                                    motive if you want to be honest.                                    This first one will be rather simple:                                    you can no longer play the games                                    in the arcade until a skeletal is                                    turned in, or someone is murdered.”

            Is that it? That...doesn’t really seem very scary. You were expecting something terrifying, something ghastly.

                                  “Your only source of income during                                    this period will be helping Blake with                                    chores. He’s a very busy badger,                                    after all. You will even receive MORE                                    chores to do ---- however, even that                                    has a price. You will be able to find                                    more details on your phones ---- we                                    customized the software specifically                                    for the hunt. Good luck.”

Gambling at the arcade is BANNED. Your only source of income is now by helping Blake perform chores.

Grab Bag prices have now soared from 5 to 25 PopCoins a bag. Ouch!

Plushes are now 25 PopCoins each.

Cosplay items are now 50 PopCoins each.

App Coupons are now 100 PopCoins each.

The prices for specific grab bag items and Golden Bags both remain at 250 and 500 PopCoins, respectively.

New chores are now introduced.

David, still in shock about the body drop, had the intention to already glance at the queen and asked, "Do you happen to know in which room the broken window originated?"

         The shape behind the curtain seems to pause, before it gives a nod.

                 “The area outside everyone’s bedrooms                  in the Stone Wing ---- I’m sure you know                  that each of your rooms are connected to                  your watch, but the general area is simply                  that. A general area, allowable to anyone.

                  Therefore, anyone in any Wing could have                  committed this crime.”
