im gonna make this au SATIRE of anti-superhero satire because there's been two heavy hitters in the genre that have gotten major traction that ended up being kinda mid compared to the source material

Also i just watched a vid on bratpack and ireedemable and this trope just gets... sad after a while :/

the catch for the au is that in the end true friendship and love save the day no matter how messed up things get

we can be edgy and cutesy 🙂‍↕️ not everything ends in despair and gloom 🫶🏾

working on a script for a mini-comic!

TITLE: GIRL ON FILM

SCENE ONE:

(We open with a shot of the girls' old bedroom. Blossom and Buttercup are inside, with the former pacing as Buttercup lounges on the bed.)

NARRATOR: The city of Townsville is under attack—!

BLOSSOM: —by this totally useless committee they've set up. I mean, come on, we're basically shooting ourselves in the feet here. The mayor is redirecting funding for the Pokey Oaks Educational Initiative to a new canning factory. A canning factory!

BUTTERCUP: Sure, it's stupid, but it's Townsville. Look around. There's barely any kids left in Pokey Oaks anyway.

BLOSSOM: It's about the principle of the entire thing, Buttercup! We could be teaching pigs to put on lipstick for all I care, but either way, the mayor doesn't have the right to do this. In Citiesville, the mayor can't move an inch without—-

BUTTERCUP: Citiesville. Pfft. Speaking of pigs.

BLOSSOM: I–-ugh. Forget it. This whole conversation is useless.

BUTTERCUP: Tried to tell you that.

BLOSSOM: Everything just feels different ever since we…

BUTTERCUP:…

BLOSSOM: You know. Citiesville's just so big. Different.

BUTTERCUP: Yeah. It's good to be home.

(Silence falls between the two sisters.)

BUTTERCUP: Where's Bubbles?

SCENE TWO:

NARRATOR: Ahem. False alarm everyone– the mayor's executive choices, heh, aren't exactly the kind of attack we're looking for.

(An oversized mutated rat gets thrown against a car. The alarms go off wildly.)

NARRATOR: Now that's more our speed! But who's the exterminator of this flick? None other than—

TALKING DOG: Gee, thanks Bubbles. I had a busted headlight and expired tags on that junk heap. Less headaches for me! I'll be hoofing it from here on out. Oh and don't worry about my blisters, you're the hero after all.

(Bubbles throws TD a glare.)

TALKING DOG: What? What did I say?

this is everything so far! i kind of want to introduce major glory and the justice league as the first antagonists, but i'm still trying to figure things out. i really want to keep the tone of the og series as well. if anyone wants to discuss this lmk, i'm always happy to answer questions ^^
