Professor nightshade: Hello, and welcome to the world of Pokémon. We have suffered many challenges and disasters, but it seems our world has been blessed with humans
able to use Pokémon moves. You are one of many of these students, and we welcome you to our school. Take your time on the water skitter, train, make friends and allies.
And prepare yourselves for the next 5 years of your life at our Academy. Can't wait to see you in class.
A girl about 20 years of age sits in the train car alone fidgeting with a bracelet on her wrist. She was listening, but…
Joy's attention is shifted to the cart door as it opens slightly. She looks and sees a boy. short and extremely skinny and red hair standing there, looking in sheepishly.
Ben: Hello, there Sorry to interrupt, but my name is Ben And do you mind if I sit in here?
My brother kicked me out of our cart, and no one else wants me to sit with them.
Joy: Yeah, you can sit here. I'm Joy.
Ben goes into the car and sits across from her and begins conversing
Ben: Are you a first year too?
Joy: Yeah I am
Ben: Yeah, my brother is a second year. He's part of the first class ever enrolled in this school and now I'm here…if it's not rude to ask, what is your move?
Joy:...Growl…
Ben: That's cool I can use the move Ember.
I can't wait to finally get into this school.
I'll be able to finally get a Pokémon My brother and I are from Galar.
So we're not allowed to own Pokémon, but now I finally can!!
Joy: Yeah, me too. I'm from Unova.
Ben: I still think it's dumb. How most of the world banned us from having Pokémon.
Joy: Yep But once we graduate from the school and get our licenses, we will want a snack, it's gonna be another hour or 2 before we get there. I packed a couple.
Ben: Unova snacks, that's awesome. I've always wanted to try them. Of course, I have some snacks from my own home region too!!
Joy and Ben put a bunch of snacks on the table, separating the 2 booth chairs joy reaches and grabs a snack from Ben's home region.
Joy: I've never tried a white bar before.
Ben: Then I will try one of these…melon crackers?
Joy: They're Not everyone's cup of tea.
The 2 continue to sit there and talk for a while, just sharing random facts about their life.

joy has a twin sister and

joy loves spicy, you deep fried chicken burgers with tomato and spicy garlic mayonnaise ben likes sweet curry
And before they both know it, they arrive at the Academy.
Ben: I can't believe it We're finally here so excited, I could just!!
Ben has to stop himself and holds his mouth shut joy quickly realizes he over excited himself and is about to use ember. She looks around before grabbing an iron bucket and holds it out.
Ben Sees it and spits out the ember it sputters around in the bucket until finally it dies down.
Joy: does that normally happen?
Ben: Yeah, just Because my move is fire, type, you know, their fiery passion.
Joy: Never thought I would be grateful. All I do is make people a little uneasy.
???: Out of my way, please.
Both Ben and Joy turn their heads to see a girl with dark skin, a skirt that goes right above her knees, knee high stockings, shoes made out of a nice fine leather and A Cardigan.
But what catches their attention is in an aloha vulpix on her shoulder.
Ben: You have a Pokémon?
???: Yes, in my region, us powered people are allowed to own Pokémon now, could you get out of my way,
Ben and Joy kind of hug the wall for the girl to pass through and she does and the too soon follow they make it to the exit cart of the train they look 8 trainers, including them doesn't look like any one shares a region
???: I can't wait to meet my Pokémon partner!!
???: I can't wait to get off this train!!
???: I can't wait for class to start!!
Soon the train doors open and the trainers step off the train floor and walk on the hardwood of the train station after everyone's off the train door closes and zooms back off towards the mainland.
???: Welcome to the Academy Follow me and I will take you to campus.
The students turned their heads expecting to see a teacher but they're kind of right. They see a floating Rotom phone with the face of what they only can assume is a staff member.
The phone begins floating away towards a big building.
The students all kind of look at each other before they all kind of realize they don't really have much else of a choice and follow.
Eventually they arrive on campus with the floating phone and take them inside.
The phone turns its screen to the students and the screen begins shining a bright light as a screen pops up.
Suddenly, all of the students' phones that are in their pockets begin, vibrating eventually flying out as the Rotom phones begin violently shaking except for joy who has a porygon phone hers just has a tiny ding.
The voice on the phone begins speaking again.
???: Well, students, I just added the school's app onto your cellular devices. Open the app and you will see your scheduled classes.
There's a lot more to that app, but we will go over that later.
But for real now, you have been given a quest to head outside to the assessment area.
It has been pinned in the map section of the app See you out there.
The Rotom phone shakes one more time before zooming off into the ceiling disappearing within the shadows of the rafters.
Ben: Wow, that's cool, looks like all we have to do is go through that door right there.
Joy: honestly, I'm just glad this app is able to work with my phone.
???: Is that a porygon phone?
Joy: Yes, it's more expensive.
But unlike the Rotom phone, if I drop this thing on the floor it's gonna be the floor that breaks!!
Ben: Come on, joy!!
Ben grabs joy's arm and drags her to the door leading to the assessment area.
They make their way outside and see a massive track field there's 3 things that catch joy's attention immediately. A massive stage with what are clearly the teachers of the school standing on top of it, with professor/principal nightshade in the center at the microphone Ready to begin speaking.
The second group is a group of students to the left, which are clearly the first years, and the first ever students enrolled into this school.
the third group is a group of Pokémon that are hanging out in an enclosed pen Watching.
Professor nightshade: Glad to finally meet all of you face-to-face.
I am the professor and also your principal and I would like to welcome you to our school.
We won't have classes for the first 3 days of school because of the freshman assessment and beginner tasks.
So second years, you may take this time to relax and get your bearings as you move back onto campus from break.
Professor nightshade: But now I'm sure you freshmen are very anxious about\n Finally, meeting your starter Pokémon, so let's waste no more time.
For your Pokémon partner assessment you will walk up to this practice dummy and use your ability on it i will begin calling names
Joy whispering: That's it?
Ben whispered: guess so, but how will we pay attention?
This could be a good opportunity for us to learn more about our new classmates.
Joy whispering: Good thinking!
Professor nightshade: Roy field.
A kanto boy steps up, pushes his brown hair out of his eyes, stands in front of the mannequin and takes a deep breath. He holds his hands out in front of him as they begin to glow green, soon a ball of energy appears between his hands and finally, he calls out his move, allowing him to release it.
Roy: Energy ball!!
The energy ball hits the target and Waves back-and-forth before standing up right again.
Professor nightshade: Great job, Mr Roy. Now- never mind.
Roy looks as a bell sprout hops the fence from the pen and rushes over to him, hugging his leg and looking up at him expectingly.
Roy: Hey, little guy… you're actually kind of cute you wanna be my partner?
Bellsprout nods, his head enthusiastically.
Roy laughs as he picks the Pokémon up and holds it up to his shoulder, where they climb on
Roy: I think I'm gonna call you, Zack.
Joy whispering: Oh I think I know what's going on.
We're using our moves to try and impress the Pokémon in that pen.
And that's how we're getting our starters, we're not choosing them, they're choosing us!!
Ben whispering: That's so cool!!
Professor nightshade: Congratulations, Mr. Roy please stand to the left of the stage… Now then, miss Piper red!!
A Joto girl steps up, she takes a deep breath as she looks at the mannequin she braces her body and it almost looks like powers rushing through it as her muscles begin to tense up she then charges at the target and screams out the name of her move as she hits the mannequin.
Piper: Heavy slam!!
The mannequin is nearly knocked over, but manages to stay upright. It would have definitely been knocked over if it had not been bolted to the ground.
Piper looks as she feels a nudge on her side. She looks down to see an elephant like Pokémon a Cufant
Piper: Well, howdy, there I'm Piper, you like my move back there?
The Pokémon nods her head with glee.
Piper: Well then I think I'm gonna call you Penelope!!
Before professor nightshade can see anything Piper walks to the left side of the stage with her Pokémon partner by her side.
Professor nightshade: Very well then for the next student will be… thomas rush!!
Thomas, a kalos boy, steps up; he pushes up his sleeves; he quickly rushes towards the target; he bites it as he yells out the name of his move.
Thomas: Crunch!!
Thomas sees that he took a chunk out of the mannequin shoulder, he spits out the bit that was in his mouth and looks with pride. He is powerful. After all, he hears a yap from a dog, Pokémon and looks down and sees a poochyena
Thomas: Hey there, you look tough. Guess you're coming with me I'm gonna call you howl.
He walks to the left side of the stage with the pup following soon behind
Professor nightshade: Oh, God We still have so many to go okay… cartman, fern.
A hoenn boy steps up he adjusts the big hoodie, he's wearing he puts his hands-on the sides of his head as his eyes begin to glow bright pink,
Cartman: psyshock
He picks up the mannequin and turns it upside down, sticking it back in the ground with its head in the soil.
He stands up and he feels, so in the psychic plane He holds out his hands as a little expert teleports into his arms.
Cartman: Hey, there, little man i'm gonna name you, Lucas.
Professor nightshade: Okay, just a few more to go… Chad Turner.
A boy from sinno steps up and wraps the bandages around his fist. S even tighter, as he rushes towards the mannequin he grabs the mannequin from its face and pulls it back out of the ground he begins repeatedly punching it and with the final punch, he calls out the name of his move.
Chad: Close combat!!
A punk looking scraggy walks up to him Chad holds out his fist and they both fist bump.
Chad: I like your energy, little man. I'm gonna call you boombox.
Chad and his new partner walk to the left side of the stage.
Professor nightshade: Alrighty, Ms. Alice sandbar, since you already have a Pokémon partner just Walk to the side of the stage.
Alice, the girl from before, just shrugs and walks to where everyone else is
Professor nightshade: Ben Storm.
Ben with a fiery passion leaps in front of the mannequin, he shouts out his move and quickly shoots the head with his ember he watches as a young charmander, waddles his way over before being picked up by Ben the Pokémon plays with his bangs for a moment and Ben laughs.
Ben: Quit the playful one you I'm gonna call you Bucky.
Ben walks to where everyone else is standing.
Professor nightshade: And for the final student joy Brown
Joy takes a deep breath as she walks in front of the mannequin. She takes a deep breath already feeling her face turning hot she lets the breath out before screaming out her move.
Joy: Growl!!
A wave of energy flows from her mouth and hits the mannequin, it doesn't do anything.
Joy looks over to where the rest of the Pokémon are hanging out, but all of them kind of just look sheepishly, trying not to make eye contact.
Joy knew this would probably happen, but it doesn't change it being embarrassing
Professor nightshade:...
Joy just walks over to where everyone else is standing she looks over at the second years. She sees many of them are giggling, she doesn't think her face can get any redder.
Professor nightshade:... Well, then second year.
I hope you'll welcome our first years with pride first years, the university's app on your phone should guide you to your dorms your belongings and possessions were taken off the train
and brought to your room you may spend the rest of the day, unpacking your belongings
and exploring campus but as usual, no student is allowed to go to the slumbering mountain without a teacher you were all dismissed
