I feel like they think we’re stupid. That’s my opinion on the whole video and their mess of a relationship. Cause it seems like there was a debate on who was gonna post that video and who wasn’t. Cause if you look at both birthday videos they both contain the same baits it’s almost like ale really wanted to post that vid and seb had to get creative and create his own lovey dovey video without her even in it.

Couldn’t agree more but…

And I mean this with kindness, guys…

Most ppl are stupid, or rather ignorant about celeb culture and what’s really going on. Their teams are counting on this.

Never underestimate the naïveté and gullibility of folk….

Someone said that the comment about ale might have been pushed by his team, idk about that but maybe? Coz it makes it sound like it was a one time thing (as if she hasn’t made a pattern over the years of cultural appropriation and using racist slurs against indigenous people) or that they Both haven’t been covid spreading or that apparently when seb was shown in a neutral non antagonistic way -here’s why xyz is racist, and how xyz kills people. Please show us u care- and he blocked them? Sigh...

Hummm - I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know what to make of it. There’s some distancing language in it that makes me think his team want space from her, but it could also be seen as minimising what she did, but they’ve had to acknowledge it because it is out there and Seb nearly got cancelled for it.

Now, to me this lends more to my first argument above. Is his team trying to distance Seb from her and her mess? Also, why do these articles fail to mention the plethora of CA evidence out there? Have they not seen these other pictures? Or don’t they care....

If it’s her team posting these (so my latter thought), then it’s pretty low bar 😆 her only claim to fame is CA/racism? Disgusting. Just more reasons to hate her and her team. Clearly this is the best she can get as PR because she had to drag her barnacle ass back to Spain.

These are just my current, working thoughts...🤔🤔

The Pointless Guilt Trip

A tactic that PR folk love to use to get reporters to take an interview or write a story about them. A former colleague complained one flack actually said that his employment rested upon a story, and warned the reporter that he could end up begging for money outside her building. Of course, he ended the guilt trip with a smiley face emoticon. Classy!

The Unwelcome Interruption

Yes, I know it's the job of the PR executive to jump in during an interview to save an executive from himself, but it's one of the most infuriating thing for a reporter, who is working hard to build a decent flow to the conversation. The next time you want to jump in to add some extraneous fact, don't. We're not going to be listening anyway. Rather, we'll be silently seething at the interruption.

The Email Bombardment

If you ignore an email containing a pitch long enough, another email will inevitably find its way into your inbox. Yes, we most likely read the pitch. And no, another email isn't going to change our minds about ignoring it.

The Freeze-Out Threat

Flaks will pull out the threat of a freeze-out, or limited access to future executive interviews. It almost never happens. And honestly, we really don't care.

"Offline"

As in, "let's take this offline after the meeting." It usually refers to a discussion that needs to take place after a meeting, or at another future meeting. Why? Isn't that why we're meeting in the first place? Flaks love to use this term to get reporters away from their executives when the difficult questions come flying.
