A friend and I visited the Chocolatarium in Edinburgh this January, and of course Pralieon had to come along too!
It was a fun and very informative little tour. Prali learned a lot about where and how chocolate is grown and made, which is probably extra important knowledge for a chocolate-type Pokémon.
Creatures were not allowed in the kitchen, so Pralieon patiently waited outside and watched as we made our own chocolate bars. I made a huge mess of mine, it was delicious. I also consumed a raw cacao nib, which was not as good.
We sampled lots of chocolate too! Tons of different flavours to try, from cinnamon toast to lemon meringue to pine needle, but also some made from beans grown in different countries which affected the taste a lot.
Pralieon began to wonder about the origin of their own beans. Don't think too hard about that, Prali!
Finally, Pralieon took a gigantic chomp for the road.
It was a very icy January day when we went here too, which happened to be perfect weather for carrying a fluffy Pralieon in my arms without getting too warm! So I enjoyed carrying them around town for the rest of the afternoon.
Pralieon, the chocolate-type eeveelution I made up as a kid (definitely a bit Neopet inspired)! I found the clay figure I made back then, and was recently struck by the impulse to make a big plush. I upgraded its design with some more chocolatey details like the white dipped tail, chocolate button eyes and bead sprinkles!
I forgot to show off the pretty iridescent bow tie collar I got for Pralieon! It makes me think of shiny sweet wrappers! They're also sporting some chocolatey themed bracelets.
Before I was any good at sewing plushies, I still liked to make my own toys! I made a lot of Pokémon figures from polymer clay as a kid and played with them. Here's a handful of eeveelutions I still have! These were probably made around 2006-7?
First a group of fairly normal ones... I had an even older and blobbier group of eeveelutions too, these are the improved ones.
Baby Eevee with all her things! This kind of makes me want to do a plush version with all the accessories too haha.
I had a Rattata baby too but it's long lost... My friend still has the baby Sandshrew I made her though!
This one is a chocolate-type eeveelution named Praleon... Definitely some chocolate neopet influence.
And this little hybrid was meant to be the offspring of my PMD team. I don't have his parents any more, though...
