Just saw a "pray, vote" sticker on a person's vehicle. I find it sad & funny how willing people are to not have the main hand in their own lives. Where is the want for self-sustainability? Where is the want for allowing yourself to make decisions for yourself? I do not see how people go their whole lives letting other entities micromanage their existence.

If pressed, the simplest explanation I have for refusing to vote is this: I don’t vote for the same exact reasons that I don’t take communion. No matter how admirable he is or how much I agree with him, the pope isn’t the steward over my soul. Nor is any president the leader of my life. This does not make me ignorant or evil any more than not being a Christian makes me ignorant or evil. If I need representation, I will hire the most qualified person to do so. Otherwise, I will smile and nod as my friends go to their places of worship, wishing them well while I simply pray to be left alone.

You guys, Please, please, please support the ones you love.

It may be hard if they struggle to even see that you’re helping them thru a hard time, but don’t let that discourage you! When they don’t want support, be there anyway, pray anyway, hug them harder. Show them love.

This post is for those who have family who are addicts of any kind, and who may be dealing with someone who is still trying to get their lives on the right track. Support them in any way you can.

I know the feeling of thinking no one was there to support me. I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on my worst enemy. Everyone needs someone. Be that someone.
