#MEMORYMONDAY - This is a picture of me with Jennie on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 (SIX MONTHS AGO) while aboard the Belle of Topsail. This is the vessel which partially sank (capsized) during #HurricaneFlorence in September. I’m thankful to have taken the time and captured this moment (which probably won’t happen again). #Highway421 in #WilmingtonNC near the New Hanover and Pender County line (right by the landfill) is in the process of being “temporarily” repaired. It was washed out last month because of #flooding “after” #HurricaneFlorence. Seen today (Sunday, October 7th, 2018). #Pray4NC! One of the damaged public beach accesses at North Topsail Beach, NC as seen this Sunday afternoon (October 7th, 2018). The sand dunes were washed away by #HurricaneFlorence last month and the ocean (beach) can be seen from the highway. Fortunately, not all of the beach is like this. At Topsail Island this Sunday afternoon (October 7th, 2018) and here’s the Belle of Topsail which was damaged during #HurricaneFlorence last month. It’s a very beautiful vessel and there’s a #GoFundMe for the Belle. I was aboard the Belle in May of this year (2018). It’s just one of the many “losses” because of #Florence. #Pray4NC!
