Is it time to let go of past hurts so you can move into the new year with no negative vibes holding you back? Do you have people in your life that you need to forgive for hurting you in some way that you are still carrying around with you still today. Forgiveness plays a vital part in having a life that is blessed. Not only is it emotionally and physically healthy to go thru the forgiveness process but the feeling of relief you get as the weight is lifted off will leave you feeling light and mentally exhilarated. There are different ways to get thru the forgiveness stages. One way is to pray fervently to God to help you release the old baggage of raw emotions you have kept buried deep within you. Simply ask God to take it from you, and that it no longer serves a purpose for you to hold onto anymore. Or, try using the attic visualization, or the box/elevator/mountain visualization. You can also choose to listen to a guided meditation to assist you in releasing your anger, guilt, regret, resentment, etc. Or if you like the simple and direct approach, just ask yourself a few questions to get to the answer of does this truly belong to me? If it doesnt belong to me, then why am I choosing to carry it? What would it be like if I choose to let go of it, and accept that they were doing the best they could at that time with what they knew and the tools they had in their "life toolbox"? As the Christian music artist, Matthew West sings in his song FORGIVENESS, he reminds us that "the prisoner that it really frees is you." Break free from the chains of those who have hurt you in the past, so you can be set free and find your true self once again and start a new life with love and light in your heart and begin to watch things shift and change in your life creating newer, awesome opportunities of possibilities.
