Our hearts go out to all those suffering from today’s tragedy in Nairobi. No matter where in the world these gun & terrorist related attacks take place, they leave us feeling helpless & at a loss for what to do, what to say & how best to respond. Our entire Ubuntu family is safe, but many families have suffered great losses & as a country have suffered terribly. • As a global family we all know these incidences are happening more & more frequently. Why? This particular attack seems to be of a religious & political nature as Al Shabab is taking responsibility. Regardless the motivation & regardless the part of our world that is being targeted, these are senseless acts of violence threatening our understanding of what it means to be human, to be interconnected, to be one. • Our prayer as the Ubuntu family is that we will take this violence & retaliate with even more love. Whatever the motivation for this act, it was done out of hate & from a very limiting perspective of what it means to be human, to be connected, to be part of the whole. We at Ubuntu stand firm that the only response to violence is love. Love as an action & not passive. May we all love with that strength & resolve for greater action, deeper understanding & an even stronger pursuit for justice, for love & for peace, even in the face of great tragedy. To the families & friends who are suffering as a result of today’s attack...we love you & are here to stand with you. Big love! //////////// #liveubuntu #prayforkenya #kenya https://www.instagram.com/p/BsrQ5uGFDwx/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=xvn7hvv28bwv
