You always see stuff on the news about school shootings, but it never feels real until it's your school and your home. Professor Fayad was murdered today in the public health building just before the shooter killed herself. Those few minutes before all of my friends were accounted for and all I knew was that there was a shooter on the loose were some of the scariest of my life. I am so thankful for my gamecock family and for everyone in my life, especially those that I love. I hope no schools ever have to go through what we did today, I love you gamecock family.

I am still in total shock about the events that occurred at my school today. You hear about things like this but you never believe it will happen to you. It breaks my heart that anyone would have the desire to take someone's life in such a way.

There was a shooting at my school today

It was a murder-suicide. Apparently a TA got fired and was angry at the professor so she shot him and then shot herself. Prayers for my Gamecock family would be much appreciated <3 it's been a terrifying, awful, heart-wrenching day at The University of South Carolina. I'm just glad that all of my friends and I are safe.

Please pray for everyone at University of South Carolina right now. Apparently there is a shooter on campus. If you are on campus or attend USC please stay away from the Public Health building. I know so many people from Charlotte who go to USC and pray that no one is hurt.
