I love these two.
This is the first time at a Red Mango yogurt and coffee shop. Let’s just say, they have exceeded my expectations.
Turns out that the nearest Yogen Fruz closed down, so I was bummed to realized there was no other frozen yogurt place near. Then I remembered that there Red Mango just a bit further. The main reason to come here was because I wanted some coffee, of course. However, it was impossible to fight the temptation of trying out their yogurt as well.
The coffee: it was great; amazing. It has a great taste, pretty strong, and we added whipped cream for the fun of it. It was of the good one as well. I was very pleased.
The yogurt: i asked for two swirled flavors, their original tart and lucky tarot. They tasted amazing together. I feel like their frozen yogurt is creamier than the Yogen Fruz one, which is okay. I’m just a little bit attached to the other one.
Over all, it was a pleasant experience. We were treated nicely, and the environment is a good one.
5/4/19 Weekend breakfast at Denny’s.
We all gotta admit, there’s nothing against a good breakfast at Denny’s. However, coffee is one of my biggest priorities when it comes to enjoying a good morning meal. I gotta say appearance is 8/10. Setback, though: one of the mugs was broken. Another one was ordered to replace it.
The coffee itself: it wasn’t good. At least in the beggining. One of them was too hot. The other was too cold. Also, it tasted... pretty bad. Again, in the beggining. We had it replaced and it tasted better. The temperature was ideal. Still, we were disappointed. I’m not saying we expected something extremely fancy; this is a diner, not a coffee shop. Still, for many people, coffee is an essential part of a good breakfast.
Appearance and location: the restaurant is in a good spot. Located in Isla Verde, one can enjoy the nearby beaches. It is a good touristical spot. The inside of the restaurant was okay (?), except that they had a “wet floor” sign in the very middle of the way. Additionally, it felt cramped.
Introducing Kasalta, bakery located in San Juan, PR. Not only they sell coffee, but sell pastries and food (mainly soup and sandwiches). It is also famous for serving former President Obama during his visit in Puerto Rico.
Cheap or good?
Personally, we believe the coffee was too strong, and it was too hot to even hold (so we put an ice cube). The foam was 10/10, and the location was 9/10. Easy access: parking (unless really full), tables, etc.
Cinnamon roll was a bit dry, chocolate cheesecake was pretty good.
So, watcha think?
