Sobao is a bakery created by a well recognized bread company. I had been curious about it for a long time and finally, went in and gave it a try. I was surprised to see the kinds of pastries they served. They nailed the presentation (not all of the pastries looked as great though), for that’s what convinced me to not get just coffee. The employee called what I ordered a “fudge”, and it is made up of, obviously, creamy chocolate, but the most impressive part of it was the tasty coconut layer as shown in the photograph. The coffee was actually good. It was strong, as puertorican coffee should be, and had the perfect amount of foam to last the entire drink. I’ve decided it is important to mention that, in most cases, I add a packet of zero calorie sweetener and a packet of Sugar on the Raw. The only thing about the coffee is that maybe it could’ve had a tiny bit less milk. The ‘cortadito’ coffee, it was a bit too strong, but maybe that’s the point of the drink; pack a lot of coffee in a small cup. Either way, it was a pleasant experience, and will be surely attending the bakery more often.
