I wish we had more pre-jaybin. No, not the “broken, irreparable kid from before he met Batman”, but my plucky, tough boy who stole Batman’s tires and intended to stop a robbery all on his own. I wish we had more Jaybin, no, not the “reckless, angry, defiant kid who gave Bruce and Alfred such a headache”, but my brave, smart, talented, selfless, kind, and adorable boy. I wish we had more Jason, no, not the– *looks at his version seen in various comics with endless and plenty bad labels, constantly shifting roles, or portrayals where he’s crude, stupid, ugly, or get beaten up terribly by Batman and grimaces* no, none of that, and I’d like a writer who doesn't hate him so much, thanks.
