it was so nice on friday cos some of the boys at nursery were getting a bit hyper but we couldn’t go outside cos it was chucking it down with rain so i sat them down and read them and others some stories to chill them out which worked but then some of the others got bored and started to play again but the boys still remained and i didn’t want to read any more stories (i read about five in a row and my tonsils were proper messing up on friday) so we got the superheroes out and i just talked about them for ages.
we talked about how thor is from another planet called asgard, how loki (my new nickname as i play the baddie when we play outside) is actually his brother. how superman is also an alien from a different planet called krypton and by day he works at an office to hide his identity. batman is called bruce wayne and help children their age when they have no mummy’s or daddy’s. captain america is almost 100 years old but still looks 25. that hulk turns human when he’s happy & is not the only hulk and that there is even a planet hulk. wolverine is not part of the avengers but another team called x-men and although he always looks angry is not actually a bad guy. that iron man used to sell weapons to baddies then realised it was wrong so he made suits for himself to help lots of other people etc etc.
they would just ask genuine curious questions, a lot about iron man and hulk (most popular) and i was so proud i could answer them all!!!
