verse ❤
Send me ‘ verse ‘ and my muse will write yours a short poem
The lights of Laurelin and Telperion captured
in a mesh in your hair, silver-gold woven fine--
No words can capture the radiance you give
simply when you
turn your head and smile.
That day, you had flowers in your hair
Blue petals, and white blossoms like stars
You wove them behind my ears but they
looked better with the light in your eyes
Light that the Ice could not dim
Light that shone only for me, even though I
threw the first torch
Light that I watched blaze defiant
that night, in my dark dream
I saw the wolves tear at you, felt
their teeth sink in, deep, and knew
My heart always belonged to you, knew
When you died, you would take
take part of me with you
