Do you ever think about the massive amounts of existential dread that Anna will have when she goes back to 2027? Knowing that all of the friends she made in 1999 will be adults in her timeline old enough to have kids her age? Or the fact that if anyone from Makoto Mirai City in 1999 sees her in 2027, they won’t know that she’s their friend from back then, and they’ll comment on how she ‘looks just like her mother did at that age?’ And, assuming that the theory is true, and that Mikuru is Anna’s future mother, how will Anna adjust to the fact that the friend she had in 1999 is her mother in 2027?
i want to make a prediction that anna's no-lie streak's will be broken when it comes to luluka. maybe they need to find out why she's in the guild. I'm going to assume they'll become friends before they know their respective identities. one day, luluka tells her a very important secret that serves as the answer to why she joined the guild. however, she wants anna to swear she won't tell anyone about it. the case would be so close to being solved, and when anna is asked what she knows, she'll have two options.
she doesn't tell mikuru and jett. as a result, both are going to lose a bit of trust in anna when someone points out that she knows luluka's secret.
she does tell mikuru and jett. as a result, luluka could lose most of her trust in anna. considering our track record of villain to cures, most of them are usually not doing well mentally when they're sided with the villains. so I can imagine that when luluka thinks she's finally comfortable enough with a friend to share the secret, she's going to feel very betrayed. I like to think that not too many episodes after something like this happens, she'd probably fully reform as a non-villanous cure
Okay! Since the designs have been officially revealed I can now talk about my MIDSEASON CURE THEORY.
This may be wishful thinking BUT I have reason to believe our midseason is gonna be ~Yellow~
So we have three Cures, right? Pink, Blue, and Purple. Well, take a look.
Our Pink Cure, Cure Idol! You may notice... she has Blue Eyes :)
Our Blue Cure, Cure Wink! Just as Idol's eyes ar4 Blue, Wink's eyes are Purple! Well, this looks like a pattern! Kyunkyun must have Pink eyes, right? Make it a full circle?
Ah. Yellow. YELLOW.
"But Rosie!" You may say "A lot of blonde Pink leads have Blue eyes! And Purple is Wink's sub color!" But BLUE IS KYUNKYUN'S SUB. Kyunkyun and Wink have coordinating main and sub colors, so then why does Wink have Purple eyes, yet Kyunkyun has Yellow????
If we get a Yellow Midseason with Pink Eyes... it really will be a full circle. As it is it's a downright strange design choice.
ALSO. This was one of the leaks in case you didn't see it. What colors are the background? Pink, Blue, Purple, and Yellow. It'd be weird, if Yellow was just randomly the odd one out.
(I do recognize this theory is half just me missing having Yellow Cures. If we don't have one this year that'll make three whole years without one. I really like Yellow okay, free them.)
Using numbers I've crunched myself and this meme I made last year, allow me to share my predictions for the upcoming PreCure season.
So here's the trademarked logo
Off the bat, a tried and true music theme instead of using music tangentially like Star Twinkle did. Alongside that, it looks to have themes of friendship (go figure a kids show values friendship lmao). But as for the predictions, I'd like to start by identifying the numerical patterns we've seen in the group number.
From Futari Wa to Hugtto, the group number has been all over the place. Interestingly, we've had a perfectly consistent final group number pattern for the past FIVE years. According to this pattern, the Kimi to Idol would have a final group number of 5. I'll return to this number in just a bit as I don't believe this season will have a group of 5- despite what the numbers are telling me.
I don't know where I got 80% from, but it's more like 70% of PreCure logos have the team colors represented in the logo. Kimi to Idol is not the latest exception.
This logo has several suspiciously placed colors. Black, white, pink, yellow, purple, and blue. But notice how these colors are oriented. Black and white are separated on the "a" part of purikyua. Reminiscent of the pair of hearts used in the original Futari Wa logo.
With the more obvious themes in the title, three oddly colored hearts- two together and one alone, the number of suspicious colors being six- which is divisible by three, and the fact we haven't had a team of three in almost three years and there's been no final team number of three in almost nine years..
I know the lineup
White and pink lead Cure transforms with her partner who is a black and blue Cure a la Futari Wa, Splash Star, SUITE!!, and Mahoutsukai. Their sixth ranger has two options. She will either not value cooperation and be a lone wolf type until eventually becoming a yellow and purple Cure. Or she is a close friend to our MCs and gives fantastic friendship advice- the type of character we want to see become a PreCure because of how much we love her, and unlike this season, our love is rewarded with her becoming a yellow and purple sixth ranger. For the former storyline the yellow cure could be named Cure Sonata, but I don't have any other predictions for names since those are pretty hard to theorize.
Now we wait to see how my predictions pan out. And hopefully Toei fixed whatever problem led to that massive leak last year.
But only FOUR colors in the bow behind the logo- the above minus Yellow and Orange.
This is FANTASTIC news for those wishing for a green cure since it's one of the ones that appears both places.
I think that this means we're going to start with a team of four, the same colors as the bow- and then we'll get two middeason cures, in Yellow and Orange.
Small mini theory (I’m calling it that cause it’s not that important to the show and plot): But I think the midseason cure will be based off nighttime. A few months ago, I saw a post saying that they thought it was cool that the cures colours corresponded to different colours of the sky at different times. Sky = daytime, Prism = the colours of clouds+rainbows or could be morning, Wing = sunset and Butterfly = sunrise (although you could make an argument for Wing=sunrise and Butterfly=sunset, the sky at those times are pretty similar tbh, but I do like how both of them represent the colour of the sky when it transition from night to day and vice versa)
This leaves out a cure representing nighttime. The post I saw said that Elle represented the colours of the sky inbetween the other times, but after the recent episode, I feel like having Elle-chan or the midseason cure be based of the night made more sense. Sora’s flashback about the shooting stars at night, the new ending where a lot of it takes place during the night, the song references stars and dusk, the upcoming episode referencing stars in its titie. Hell, I think I even remember the King calling Elle his ‘morning star’ once. Plus, it’s pretty much been accepted that the midseason cure will be purple, and it would fit a cure based off the night (cough cough Cure Moonlight). Prism even has part of her skirt be what looks like a star during the night!
Anyways, yeah. That’s my mini theory over. Also, I know some people out there don’t like the idea of Cure Majesty’s name since it doesn’t seem to fit with the season’s themes besides Elle being royalty, and I already saw some good suggestions with Cure Hero and Cure Knight, but here are some potential names I came up with based on this nighttime cure theory.
