Mercedes gets Predictive
Imagine if your car could detect that a child is on board at 7:30 a.m. on a weekday, anticipating that you are traveling to take the child to school and then automatically post a traffic report for your route on the navigation screen. Mercedes-Benz aims to develop this technology with a project it calls the predictive user experience. This technology can be used to observe how drivers and passengers use a car and analyze the data to anticipate their wants, from mirror positioning to GPS destinations. These preferences could then be transferred from one Mercedes to another. Which means that if you've gotten comfortable in one particular model Mercedes-Benz and decide to update to a newer model you could carry your preferences with you to the new vehicle without having to take the time to set up the new vehicle or worry about getting comfortable.
