It's early to be collecting, I know, but with a busted finger I thought it would be the perfect time to beg for yarn! . Here's some info: - We have 9 churches this year - We are hoping to be teaching college students interested in charity knitting this winter - We have 4 nursing homes - We have 2 Alzheimer's Extended Care Facilities - We have 7 full time bereavement knitters who only knit for that cause - We have, wait for it, 19! nurses making premie hats!!!!! - We work with @stitchesfromtheheart @halosofhope #thelinusproject and local hospitals - We have two who only make blankets for the children's long term psychiatric at Children's Hospital - Annnd 4 who only knit toys send where they are needed . I'm sure I've forgotten some but THESE NUMBERS ARE MAGICAL! All of these people Knit/crochet from their own stash but I'd love to get some yarn into their hands! . I am asking for donations for anything! Yarn, needles, hooks - anything you don't want - I do! . I know this is long but please stay with me!!🤗 . This year we've raised some support and for every skein of yarn they will match $2 - THAT'S INSANE! First last years numbers! Total Items Made w/Charity Yarn: 89 Prayer Shawls 🙏 162 Premie Hats 139 Chemo Caps 51 Baby Blankets 13 Full Size Blankets 👀 19 Pairs of Socks . I START CHEMO ON THE 23rd, BUT MY GRANDMA, MOM AND NIECE ARE ALL IN TO HELP! Hello knitters! This time of year makes us thankful for everything we have - and I am especially thankful for you! . Every year I try to collect yarn for knitting groups here in Ohio. We have an abundance of charity Knitter's just itching to keep people warm! Several groups make #chemocaps #premieknits #projectlinus blankets and the #prayershawl ministry also does blankets for people who are ill. We also supply yarn to the assisted-living facilities and the Alzheimer's facilities. . And NEW this year we have #infusionnurse Knitter's and a new prayer shawl ministry in Portsmouth - where my grandma lives! AND WE'RE NOT PICKY!!!!!!!!💙 We're not looking to raid your gourmet stash - but if you have things you're not in love with, bought on a whim (and regretted it) or your upgraded stash is your thing I'm here to (steal😂) help! . If you do wish to send a nicer skein if yarn to donate or gift to a charity knitter please just label it. I had an amazing amount of people wanting to give something to the knitters - your wish is my command! . PLEASE DM me if you're interested in donating. We prefer smoke free, pet free houses but if your yarn needs washed, I can do that as well! Just leave a note in the package and I'll get it cleaned up! . Also feel free to tag anyone you might think would be looking to unload some stash - even odds and ends can make beautiful and comforting gifts! . Also, if anyone wants to donate hat patterns please get a hold of me. We make loads of chemo caps and variety is the spice of life. Plus - I deliver in person to infusion centers and I need my street cred! 😂 .
