FIRST LINE OF YOUR LAST 20 STORIES!
Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favourite opening line.
Tagged by @rinn-e (thank you thank you)
A/N: I'm gonna list some of my wips along with the last couple just to spice things up.
1. Pantoran Diplomacy (The Clone Wars AU; Omegaverse; Rated M; Obikin / Obi-Wan x Chairman Cho): This wasn't how it was supposed to go. They were supposed to make peace with the Talz and be on their way.
2. Little Girl Lost (Titans 2018; Dick Grayson-Centric. Rated T for Canon Typical Stuff): Although some nights of patrol were dull while in costume as Nightwing, he could at least get around and exercise or go from rooftop to rooftop doing his old Flying Grayson Routines.
3. Intel (Batman: Bad Blood AU; Helena Bertinelli/Huntress-Centric; Rated T for Language): The sound of rain pelting the windows outside was all but drowned out by the sound of the old jukebox blaring out guitar ballads of a band no one knew the name of, nor did anyone care really.
4. Give In B-Man (Arkham Knight AU; Harley Quinn/Joker and Batman-centric; Rated T for Canon Typical Violence): Henry held the gun level with Batman's head, forcing the Dark Knight to stare down the barrel.
5. I Saw Daddy Kissing Santa Claus (Resident Evil and Devil May Cry crossover; Chreon and Baby Nero-centric; Rated T for Language): Though there was Christmas back at Fortuna and at the Orphanage, Nero really didn’t get to experience any of that due to how the Nuns and elders had treated him as well as the fact that a lot of the people there didn't even believe in a Santa Claus.
6. Long Journey Home (Resident Evil; Valeveira; Post Raccoon City and events of Resident Evil 3; Rated M for Canon Typical Content): The fact that she was alive right now was a goddamn miracle...Hell!
7. Piecing Myself Back Together Again (Devil May Cry; Pre-Devil May Cry 5; Vergil-Centric; Rated M for Canon Typical Violence, Gore, etc.): According to their father way back when, he and his brother had been destined for great things.
8. Korkie is a Kenobi (Just Not in the Way You Think) (The Clone Wars AU; PreObi; Omegaverse; Going to be Rated M for Canon Typical Violence, Language, and Content): Obi-Wan had been secretly dreading this trip.
9. Atone (Titans 2018; Omegaverse; eventually DickKon; Dick Grayson and Jason Todd-centric; Going to be Rated M for Canon Typical Violence, Language, and Themes): "I was wrong, Grayson...or do you prefer Richard? Dick? Ah, hell it doesn't matter."
10. Little Boy Found (Resident Evil and Devil May Cry Crossover; Chreon-centric and Baby Nero-centric; Omegaverse; Rated M for Canon Typical Violence, Language and Themes): It had been a long ass drive up to the Burton Mountain House, but damn, it had been worth it.
11. DickKon Prompt (Titans 2018; DickKon centric; Omegaverse; Rated M for themes and language): Dick let out a muffled sound, holding the wrist of the hand covering his mouth.
(I don't have 20 atm but I am working on a bunch of wips and they're not exactly in the "written" stages yet, so they're jumbled and all over the place! Sorry it took so long! Thanks for the tag!)

Obi-Wan/Pre (are you surprised?), Kamino
Obi-Wan was suddenly, painfully aware of the fact that he’d lost his cloak somewhere and his clothes, soaking wet as they were, were clinging tightly to his skin in a way that really didn’t leave much to the imagination.
Hahaha not surprised, no ;) so you’ve heard this idea from me before, here’s a little rift on it
xxxxxx
The coldness Obi-Wan felt had nothing to do with the weather. He had watched Death Watch stalk through the corridors of the facility he was only just becoming familiar with, watched them execute trainer and scientist alike for not showing enough subservience, the loss of each blinking light of life like a blow to Obi-Wan himself. He'd done this. All the healing and recovery he'd thought he had managed over the years had shriveled and died when a door opened and he was introduced to Jango Fett. The false Mand'alor. The enemy, his deep-suppressed conditioning told him.

Summary: The Mand'alor's soulmark is a sign of the legitimacy of their rule, of the Manda's favor.
Details: Pre/Obi-Wan. Soulmate AU.

Jaster Mereel went nearly his entire time as Mand'alor without a soulmate. It was, many would say, one of the reasons Tor Vizsla could encourage others to break away, to separate the Faithful into three camps--Mereel's True Mandalorians, Vizsla's Death Watch, and those neutral parties who were content to see how the dust settled.
A year after adopting Jango Fett, Mereel's soulmark finally came in--it was a sign, many said, that House Mereel was on the rise--a soulmate and an heir within such a short time.

Preobi: Korkie's Real Parents
Obi-Wan was there on Council Business to deal with the assassin business that originated in Mandalore and put the rumors of Satine being in league with the Death Watch to rest. He didn't count on dealing with the Mandalorian who had been obsessed with him.
And Pre Vizsla might not let him go this time.
In which Korkie is a Kenobi...just not in the way you think.
Rated for Themes, Language and Canon Typical violence.
Preview of an Upcoming Clone Wars / PreObi Fic.
Obi-Wan had been secretly dreading this trip. Not because he believed Satine was behind the attacks on Mandalore. Oh no, he knew she was innocent. She was pacifist when he first met her and he knew she was too stubborn to give up those values.
Instead, it was due to the last time he had been here as a padawan. When Jedi business had gotten a bit too...personal. Luckily, Death Watch was long gone and he was here to prove Satine’s innocence as well as get some answers about the Mandalorian that appeared on Coruscant.
At least, that had been the original plan and thought...until a member of Death Watch attacked the town square. He had become reacquainted with a long lost son. The Omega tried not to stare at the boy too long, tearing his eyes away as Korkie stood tall next to Satine, happy as could be to see the Jedi Master and asking a myriad of questions about the Order. Obi-wan had kept his distance and sent his own feelings into the Force, ignoring his longing and yearning that his Omega felt at seeing their pup again.
Now, to top it all off, they had to take the dead body of the bomber to Concordia, where another remnant of Obi-Wan’s past was the Governor and sort of ruler; Pre Vizsla. When Obi-Wan had met him, Pre had been a naive young man who had followed the Death Watch, faithfully, or almost blindly rather, supporting their cause in order to “take back” Mandalore and their traditions from the “False Duchess” and her “cowardice”.
At first, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon had been sent there as bodyguards for Duchess Satine at the time during one of the many Mandalorian Civil Wars. Due to the onslaught of attacks and assassination attempts on the Duchess’s life, Qui-Gon had Obi-Wan infiltrate Death Watch, a radical group involved with the enemy, as a spy of sorts.
Fortunately for Obi-Wan, the members accepted “Ben’ika” into the fold with open arms, believing his deception and involving him in their plans, seeing him as one of their own. Unfortunately for Obi-Wan, he had caught Pre’s attention and had found himself the target of the Alpha’s affection.
At the time, he had been oblivious to the man and his attempts at courting him, naively thinking it was just friendly or helpful gestures. Or even the constant volunteering to be Obi-Wan’s partner or sparring partner due to Obi-Wan being a new member of their “Clan”. It wasn’t until one night, after a small victory won against the Duchess’s royal guard, they huddled around a campfire and drank and leisurely spoke of old war stories and the time before the wars.
Obi-Wan hadn’t remembered how many drinks he had had with the other man...but one thing led to another and Obi-Wan had found himself pregnant a couple of days later. Luckily, the Duchess and her people had gotten control of things, and Obi-Wan was able to end his mission and retreated back to the palace.
And that’s when the tears and pain began...but that was a long time ago and Satine had taken the boy in and raised him as her own, telling everyone who had known her or asked that Korkie had been her nephew from a friend who had been like a brother to her. One who had fallen during the war.
But that hadn’t been the reason he was here. He was here because Satine was being accused of a ridiculous charge and Obi-Wan was here to investigate these claims…he couldn’t let his past and feelings cloud his judgment and send him running. He was also here on Council Business due to the assailant in Beskar and Mandalorian Garb.
(Story is still a wip as well as the title. Might also be one-sided...haven't decided yet tbh. But I'm still working on WIPs for various fandoms! I promise!)
#2 "seeing you with someone else really makes me sick to my stomach” with Obi-Wan and someone else? Could go down some interesting paths...
Thanks!
CW torture, creepiness

“Seeing you with someone else makes me sick to my stomach.”
Obi-Wan squeezed his eyes shut, resisting the urge to check on Rex, to make sure he was okay. He’d stopped even making noises of pain, but Obi-Wan hoped that meant he had passed out, that he was getting a moment’s respite. He wouldn’t draw attention back to him.
“I don’t belong to you,” he hissed, gasping when a hand gripped his neck and squeezed.
“Look at me.” He snapped his eyes opened, worried what would happen if he didn’t. “You were mine, from that very first day. You could pretend it was a mission, pretend you were a spy, but we both know you were at home with us, with me.”
Pre was looming over him, eyes narrowed, searching as if Obi-Wan’s face would give away some sign of the love he thought would be there. And maybe once, traitorously, he could have loved Pre, when sinking deep into his persona of a Death Watch recruit to protect Satine.
He sucked in a breath, deciding playing along might be the only way to get Rex out alive. “Pre, I thought...you’d moved on. Especially after you found out what I am.”
“Was forced to be,” he dismissed, so easily, as if Obi-Wan didn’t choose everyday to stay a Jedi. “The Manda called to you, you’ll be Cin Vhetin, none of your life before will matter.” His grip softened as he smiled down at Obi-Wan.
“You did all of this to get to me?”
“Of course I did. I’d do even more for you, cyare.”
Obi-Wan forced himself to smile back, drawing on all his training and experience to make it look sincere. “I’m so lucky to have you, cyar’ika. Why don’t you let me out of these cuffs and I’ll show you?”
Chuckling, Pre pulled back, turning his attention back in the direction that Obi-Wan had been praying to the Force he wouldn’t look again. “After we get rid of Fett’s clone, then we can catch up.”
Obi-Wan has to be a thorn in Vader's side one last time. Parentage AU. Crack.
The summons came for Vader in the middle of the hunt for his son and, if not for the very first sentence clearly stating "Obi-Wan Kenobi" he would have ignored it.
For all Obi-Wan had been lax about his own upkeep, it seems that he'd been obsessed with proper bureaucratic processes until the end.
