My GoodSmile Company Dororo Hyakkimaru featuring Sayoko Kamitsure 1:7 Complete Figure arrived! I’m so in-love with this figure, I can’t even describe how sad I am that I didn’t get two. Or, maybe I should say I wasn’t able to afford two. T__T;;;
He’s not super expensive, but his shipping made him a bit expensive (due mostly to the limiting shipping options) and I have a lot of other stuff that was releasing this month, or delayed (like always!) to release this month. I was contemplating getting the F:Nex/FuRyu one but decided to get this one instead because I found it more aesthetically pleasing and also more accurate to how Hyakkimaru looks in the anime. I wasn’t able to afford the other one at the time it released (it was a little more expensive than this one), but I really fell in love with this one the moment I saw prototype photos.
I saw Japanese owner photos on Twitter and a few people complaining about his face not being as heavily blushed as the prototype(not the Japanese owners, but potential ones). I don’t really mind though. Had I been able to afford a second one to unbox, I would have added the blushing myself (if I felt like it), but it’s not a deal breaker for me. The figure still remains one of the most gorgeous pieces I own, it’s truly breathtaking (to me) in person. I am beyond satisfied with him, and glad I was able to get at least one (for now). I don’t believe GoodSmile re-releases scale figures often (or ever!), but I am crossing my fingers I’ll be able to get a second one, if they do. (:
