Hey Dolls! #newpostalert ‼️‼️ Tonight's post is for all my #curlyhairgang Sage Beauties!! Let's talk about the benefits of #prepooing! #hair #haircare #naturalhair #curlyhair #browngirlshair #bblogger #beauty
I just detangled my hair and barely lost any hair. I think me prepooing with something with protein before wash is really helping and deep conditioning with only moisture is helping out a lot. My hair is doing better than before (not that I was losing a lot before but it's even less). But I don't want to brag too much being that I'm only about to be 5 weeks post relaxer on Wednesday. But when I get up like 8 weeks and still doing good, then I will jump for joy!
Natural Hair Tip of the Day
Prepoo this means to add oils to your hair before shampooing so your hair won't dry out as much.
Week 2;
So since I last washed and did a protein treatment, I've probably done around 3 cowashed (1.5 weeks ago) and today being the day that I do a regular washing. I finally got myself to pre-oil beforehand. The results were AMAZING. Used olive oil an sunflower oil heated up to do it, massaged into my scalp and caked unto my hair and rubbed into my ends. After leaving it a while, went and washed it out before shampooing and conditioning.
Less shrinkage
Less frizzing
Softer
Less shedding/breakage
More moisture
Shiny
My ends are happy
To be fair, I don't think there was any downsides to this....definately will do the same next time.
Currently focusing a lot on my sides and my nape hair. Since I know for sure that my nape hair can be as long as the rest of my hair, I want to treat it with ETLC (extra tender loving care) and grow them out.
Ordered Jamaican black castor oil which I'll be using on my scalp messages, for pre-oiling (mixed with coconut oil) and for sealing (mixed with my usual sealing mix; olive oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera juice, morrocon argin oil w/keratin and tea tree oil)
