“If we take the positioning of… the last star… and…” As the girl mumbled, her head could be seen falling forward. She was sitting out on the overlook in front of the Akademiya, not too far off from the entrance. Perhaps in hindsight she shouldn’t have decided to do her usual star mapping here in the city as opposed to where she usually does it. However, after one too many times waking up in the middle of nowhere, she found it might be best to at least be closer to people when she decides to doze off. Maybe they could help rouse her from her sleep walking spells. At least, that had been the hope. However the lights bleeding out from the buildings made it far too difficult to see the stars, so she had adjusted her position further away and in less lighting. A mistake on her part as now she had started to drift out of consciousness. It wouldn’t be long until she slipped out of the chair she’d dragged out from the library and onto the ground.
“A-Ah…” She blinked, shaking her head before grabbing her star map and pulling it into her lap. She attempted to continue her task, but within no time she was falling asleep again.

Admittedly, there would always be a part of Al-Haytham that was always fond of his former alma mater. Although it had been centuries since he'd graduated, he couldn't help but like to do business in this Darshan whenever he could, the cobalts and blues of the architecture making him nostalgic when he once more the uniform that hadn't changed much in the centuries since. To no one's surprise, in one of the avenues that led to their entrance within the House of Daena, one of its more infamous students moments away from passing out as she seemed wont. Al-Haytham hadn't met Layla before this, but seeing the younger elf close to falling from her chair caused the Scribe to almost speed to her rescue, all before realizing it was needless. It wasn't uncommon to see students draped over the tables and furniture in various stages of sleep--usually moments away from being interrupted by one of the Matra who didn't condone such behavior, however benign--but Layla was a special case when her fugue states led to fantastical feats of scholastics... and even athletics, if the rumors were true.
"I'm not one of the Matra, if that's what you're worried about," he stated with thoughtfully folded arms, considering the Rtawahist in amusement. "So, once you fall asleep, when do the incredible feats begin? One hour in, two?"
