idk just a silly idea I had while thinking about alphas teething on things during their prerut yk?

It's the perfect headcanon for our friends who write in aus where your dynamic presents straight (or before you come) out of the womb!

Here some cute things for you anon:

grown-up alphas gnawing on frozen slick rings in their pre-rut to soothe them, and baby alphas soothing themselves on frozen milk rings.

baby omegas with their dolls or stuffies making little nests for them.

baby beta loves to be outside and watch the birds and tries to mimic their songs.

toddler alphas who start to get that protective urge over their favorite stuffy and always wants to make sure "they're safe"

toddler betas in preschool comforting their friend who misses their oma or baba.

toddler omegas getting so excited when their working parent comes home to give them all the snuggles.

I absolutely love babies showing off their eventual dynamic (in my verse it can be found out by blood test or a slightly invasive exam if pre-modern) in subtle ways. Since it's about their instincts they tend to be slightly closer to "feral" (feral being a trauma response where they respond entirely based on instinct). So some instincts you might see in Pups: Alphas and Omegas hoard food (Betas forage more and tend to just eat what they find), Betas have very little stranger danger (Alphas tend to react to strangers with suspicion, Omegas are more traditionally "shy"), Alphas and Betas tend to get into trouble more, Betas and Omegas are more patient, Omegas tend to cry more for attention (Alphas by FAR throw the most temper tantrums), Betas and Omegas are most likely to try and comfort a crying friend, Betas and Alphas are more physically active... stuff like that!

Of course how much is instinct and how much is personality is hard to tell. Your unpresented and untested rambunctious pup could be an Omega. Usually it's more like a LIST of traits and which one they seem to favour.

Yeah I like this, especially that there are several dynamics that do each thing, you know?

When I think about kid behaviors and how they translate into their adult personalities, I think about how it works but not in ways you'd expect.

A kid who likes trucks may grow up to be an engineer or a drummer or a race car driver. A kid who likes dress up may become a seamstress or an actor or a model.

Play with the ambiguity of motivation that little kids have. Why are they doing that weird thing? We can't know until they tell us or show us more.
