Pre-SIHH 2015: IWC Portuguese Annual Calendar Ref. 5035

Another new release to the brand's Portuguese collection, IWC is presenting its first ever annual calendar which is fitted with a new in-house 52850 calibre.

With the new year under way we hope you all had a safe and festive end and start to the year. With that in mind lets continue the festivities with another Pre SIHH 2015 release, this time with the beautiful new @parmigianifleurier Tonda 1950 Squelette that features one of the thinnest automatic movements in the world. This particular piece however not only features the Calibre PF705 but also a sapphire crystal dial showing off the skeletonised movement thats been finished in absolute perfection. The mainplate has been machined by hand before being bevelled and brushed leaving a smooth grained finish, which then works around and mingles with the bridge and various components of the timepiece. We continue our Pre SIHH 2015 releases with another beautiful piece from @montblanc aptly named the Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum featuring a fantastic world time function on a multi layered dial. At its centre the main sapphire crystal dial displays the continents as viewed from the North Pole which are encircled by the names of the 24 cities representing the different time zones. The continents are separately layered on the disc that displays the light blue ocean. Underneath the main dial is a disc showing day/night and also 24 hours timezones. The 2 tone day/night disc shows where it's night and day at any time on the planet by rotating and changing the colour from light representing day to dark representing night.
