Ye ever watch a documentary where somebody talks about something that’s, like... incredible, and ye just sorta go “yeah, I could do that”. I was watching a Vietnamese doc last week and this bloke was talking about how he’d been living in the jungle for 40 years, living off the land and all that, and I was just going “aye, I could do that easy”. Then I remember that even when I go camping, I bring me portable phone charger and about 5 bottles of bubbly. I’ve always been fascinated by the weird and antiquated laws around the world that are somehow still in existence. The ones I know from memory are mostly the UK. Like, in Liverpool, it’s against the law for a child to look up the dress of a mannequin; you’re not allowed to walk into the Houses of Parliament in a suit of armour; in Bristol, you’re allowed to have sex in a car, but you’re not allowed to do it underneath the car. The world’s a strange place.

You’d think after the amount of events and stuff I’ve been to in the past couple years, I’d have gotten good at introducing myself to people but… nope, still don’t know how to interact with other people. Today, whilst out running errands, I happened upon a chalkboard outside a pub that stated “money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy CAKE”, and I don’t think I’ve ever identified so much with a quotation, so I felt like sharing these words of wisdom with the rest of the world. If you’ve got any more inspirational quotes such as this, throw them in my direction, because I have a thing for them. Especially if they involve cake. I turned 60 last month which confirms I’m definitely an old man now. It also means my daughter has upped the ante when it comes to relentlessly teasing me with how out of touch I’ve become. But I also feel like sometimes she just flat out lies to me about current trends, just to mess with me. I swear, it seems like the school year started only yesterday, and my cubs are already asking me what are the plans for Halloween this year. I don’t know which is more exciting for them - the candy part of it all or the general spooky atmosphere, but it seems like this year is going to be even more intense than it was before. Thankfully, I managed to calm them down, hopefully for another month or so. It didn’t stop me from wanting to watch some horror film or a thriller of some kind tonight. Any suggestions? Even though I feel like I could re-watch Misery every day and not get bored of its brilliance, I am open to something new.  //  @prestigestarters​

Does anyone else watch a really fantastic movie and that is all that they can think about for the next week or so? Hi, I’m Scarlett Johansson and I just watched The Greatest Showman for the millionth time last night. I’m currently blasting the soundtrack while I drink wine and clean my house.
