"I remember everything."

a beautiful, constant, warm breeze blows around them. the flower fields dance and wave with the motions. sophie finds it mesmerizing, soothing even to watch! all the colors bleed into one and then separate; over and over this happens, like an artist running colors upon a canvas and then magically undoing it all. she's sat herself upon soft green grass, fingers weaving into rosy and copper strands to create a single braid. I remember everything. so does she. howl stands just a pace behind her and she can feel the weight of that verdant gaze.
he must wonder how she will respond to his words, but sophie finds herself attempting to dispel them. let them float away on the wind that touches these fields, keeping everything smelling of sweetness. she does not wish to let the memories taint the gardens...though, not all of it was bad. No. to say otherwise would be untrue and a disservice to all that she has come to learn about herself and the world around her.
"well, you've a keen eye and a sharper mind, so it doesn't surprise me that you would. i might think you completely and utterly hopeless otherwise!" the accusation is made in light - not a slight and entirely without malice. in fact, it is almost definitely a playful jest.
surely he does not mean to hint at her most docile and tender of moments towards him. certainly they must be buried amidst all the chaos and trouble they went through in between and all around! but alas... sophie cannot possibly hide her feelings. he knew of them well enough already, after all! nothing gets past him.
