"It'll be fine." Hughie squeezed Annies hand, giving her a reassuring smile. It was weird to see her in a wig, especially not her Starlight one. He understood her concerns, of course. He could only imagine what sort of a field day the press would have to find out that an ex member of the Seven was taking lessons on how to tie up her boyfriend; but he wasn’t going to say that, because he really didn’t think that it would happen.

“No one’ll know it’s you, okay? I promise. They’re probably not even gonna be looking at us. They’ll be too busy, y’know, tying each other up.”

"Forgive me for being nosy, but are you all right?" The manner in which the young woman was idly wandering the alleyway had drawn his attention. He'd nearly hurried on past her and yet there was something that made him pause, double back, and come to stand before her.

"You look like someone who has many troubles knock knock knocking about your head. Is there anything I can help with?" Or maybe he was being a bother and disturbing her peace. That had happened more times than he'd like to acknowledge but it was the consequence of being so attuned to those around him, always willing to lend a hand even when it turned out to be unnecessary.

"This area isn't too pleasant, I'm afraid." A slight wrinkle of his nose as he caught sight of Scrubbit's in the distance, great plumes of smoke rising from the chimney — his indentured friends were still hard at work. His heart panged for them. "Not a place I'd recommend dilly and dallying in."

               The   circus   seemed   different      ,      how   it   usually   was   adorned   with   thousands   of   bright   lights      ,      music   playing   loudly   for   all   the   performers      &      the   guests   to   see   and   enjoy      .      But   with   the   blackout      ,      the   lights   were   out      &      there   was   an   eerie   stillness   that   accompanied   the   darkness   that   surrounded   them      .      when   Davina      &      Elijah   had   returned   to   their   homestead      ,      they   had   distributed   the   candles   and   had   decided   that   the   remainder   should   go   into   storage      ,      which   was   a   small   cargo   van   container   towards   the   back   of   the   tent      .      upon   entering   the   container   there   was   no   thought   of   propping   the   door   open      &      it   closed   behind   them   with   a   click      .      davina   tried   to   find   the   accountant   in   the   darkness      ,      eyes   wide   as   she   fumbled   towards   the   door   and   shook   the   handle      .

He doesn't often get involved in her trap-making, since he's had quite enough experiences with traps in his life, thanks - but he's bored and he'd be lying if he didn't think her tinkering was interesting. "... Do you need help?"

while we're on the subject of positivity , i would just like to quickly shoutout to @chmerical , @redemptioninterlude , @sunxsin & @prettydead. i have , over the years , created this absolutely fucking wild lore & storyline within this cult thing. it's such a mix of random things & i have always been a little insecure about it. but y'all are indulging me & letting me play it out & honestly i couldn't be more grateful. it means so much to me that you're all enjoying it & when one of us has like , an idea , we all kind of put in input & it's literally like , a dream. to share lore that i've created with people who also like it & i'm just. thank you , y'all. really , really thank you. you all have my undying gratitude.
