ur right about the pandas. like so much conservation money gets tossed @ them bc they're cute but they're ultimately useless while we got. necessary sharks dying out bc Scary Sharks don't get donations and it PISSES ME OFF

pretty much yeah. like really i don’t want pandas to die out! i’m glad there’s conservation for them! but at the end of the day they’re not a key component of the ecosystem. yet many vital species with bad PR get basically bupkis ‘cuz they ain’t as cute. if we spread even half of the conservation funding pandas got we could save who knows how many species from extinction. and at this point we could probably keep the pandas too!

side note, if any of y’all think sharks aren’t cute or that they’re ~scary~ you can Catch These Paws because sharks are just big dopey-looking fish with bad PR.
