This goes out to all my fellow eczema peeps...
I know moisturizing is super important, and I'm sure many of you are doing this, but some things to note!! - Please don't exfoliate unless you think it's absolutely necessary, and never do it on or around eczema affected skin!!! It takes dead skin cells to turn them healthy but you ARE stripping part of your skin layer and that's already an issue with eczema - When you're drying off, make sure to pat excess water off so you're not dripping wet! Doing this after a shower and applying whatever you use to moisturize your skin actually helps hydrate you better. That's water, so free hydration! Locking it in with your moisturizer of choice just helps more :) - Speaking of, please try to limit your shower time!! Just up to 5 minutes, assuming you don't need any special attention for your hair. If you do, try to wash your hair first and keep most of your body (especially eczema affected areas) out of water until you're done. Also try not to do hot water, lukewarm if you absolutely need it, especially in colder months.
