☀——— It seemed she was lost. As far as the eye could see, there was nature. Were so many trees in one place normal? This scenery, a landslide away from the "civilized" lands Mila had seen, stood before her and the child hadn't the foggiest clue how to navigate it. At the very least, her annoyed stomping had finally brought her somewhere new. For the last while it was as if she'd been walking in circles.
Either way, this clearing wasn't much too look at. Bushes covered a majority of the ground, and a tree with no leaves stood near the edge. Mila cautiously stepped forward, looking around for anything that could potentially get her out of this mess, when the sudden rustling of bushes caught her attention.
"Who's there?" The girl asked, whipping her head around in search of what she'd hoped to be a person. Unfortunately, what met her gaze was definitely not human. It actually looked like it was made of...wood? Had it not squeaked at the sight of her, she likely would have assumed it to be a carving or something. Was everything wood here? The strange thing glared, standing taller as she drew near, and before Mila had much opportunity to react, a small rock hit her forehead just hard enough to leave a red spot.
"Hey!" She yelped, landing on the ground with a short thud. Had the assault been less sudden, she probably wouldn't have fallen over on impact. It was mostly the surprise that had her. Mila made some attempt to voice her displeasure at the thing, but was interrupted early on by another rock. And another. "Ouch-- Stop it!"
