I made another fan art once again, and today, it kind of has a bit of symbolism in it.

It's my fan art of Pride! Roman and I think I did pretty well.

This kind of symbolizes the seven deadly sins. In the picture, the colors used are black, red, green, yellow, orange, light blue, gray, dark blue and purple. Some of the colors symbolize the deadly sins.

The purple gem in the crown represents pride, the blue is lust and the light blue is sloth. The yellow in the outfit and the scepter and crown represents greed. The orange gem on the scepter is gluttony, the green pendant (?) is envy, and all the red is wrath. As you see, those seven colors represent the deadly sins. It's also clear why I also chose black for the rest of the clothing since black means evil, despair, darkness, etc. I did a lot of research about this than doing schoolwork because fvck school. (Jk, I'm already done with schoolwork when I did this.)

I did planned on writing a story about this but I didn't want to since I have a lot of works in progress. Though, I can make a short synopsis about how Roman turned into Pride.

TW: Pain, Screaming, body horror

Roman sinks out after SvS redux (ik it has been a year but I can't get over it) and heads out to the imagination to let out all his feelings. As he wandered of through the castle in the imagination, he finds an underground chamber. There he saw a golden crown infront of a weird looking mirror. He heard whispers trying to convince him to wear the crown and he did. Nothing happened for a few seconds but then he sees a creepy silhouette in the mirror and it suddenly came out of the mirror. Roman pulled out his sword but the entity disappeared. He then felt immense pain in his chest that made him fall to the ground, letting out a blood-curdling scream as he felt like his head was being cut in half and his heart being ripped out of his chest. Black liquids started cascading from his eyes as he cried in pain, the said crown seemed to be sticking on his head. And suddenly all the pain ended as he past out on the ground.

Also, with school basically back in full fucking swing, I won't be posting as often:(

(not that I ever posted that often...) And don't get me wrong, I'm glad school's started up again. Just not when I have teachers giving 20,000 assignments and saying, "yeah, this is all due like, tomorrow or the day after that." At our school, we follow a schedule were we split up days as A days and B days, which on A days, you log into your 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th periods and you log on to a Google meet thing. For a B day, you log into 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th. (Wednesdays are work days btw.) We have class and work to do each day. My teacher in second period a few days ago literally said, "even though I know you guys probably have a lot going on right now, especially with some of your other classes, for my class you'll be receiving 2 assignments per day." Oh cool, thanks teach. Love that. Like I already have enough to worry about, you just gotta throw that onto the pile. Nice👌

(I did not intend to vent there, oop-)

BUT ANYWAYS, like I said, I'm gonna be a bit slow here for the next couple of weeks. I'll still be makin stuff it just won't be posted until I actually remember to post it lol. Anyway, have a good day/night! Love y'all <3

So I wanted to try drawing my own version of Pride!Roman !! 

Below the cut has some design explanations and stuff + a bonus drawing so if you wanna see that keep reading.

So some of you may be asking

“Ari, why did you choose teal? Roman’s colors are mainly gold and red?”

WELL MY FRIEND

I originally drew the red and gold one first (the second picture), but while I was messing around with filters, I came across the “Difference” option.

Basically it turned every color into it’s opposite? (Idk I’m an education major not an art major don’t sue me) Here’s a picture to explain better.

As you can see, I chose some of the standard colors of each side (the smaller color palettes) and put the exclusion layer over it to see their “opposites”. This way, it sorta symbolizes the dark side as being their opposite (if that makes any sense).

Also so more fun facts. The crown is made of thorns cause I’m edgy and the top is based off of men’s poet blouses! I may make a full body version one day but I’m lazy and I got school…

ANYWAYS I hope you enjoyed my nonsense talk. Here’s a colored version of Pride! Roman that I didn’t super love, but didn’t hate enough to get rid of it.
