Do you know how to beat her? No. But I know how it ends.
for @killjoysmonth prompt: endings / beginnings
zeph asking pree “how do I get over this, pree?” and pree looking at her and saying “oh, sweetheart. you don’t.” and tucking her hair behind her ear and adding “life isn’t about getting over or letting go. just moving ahead.”
The Lion, the Witch and the Warlord might be the best episode for line alone
Bonus: Not funny but still Good Pree line
I really liked Killjoys. Lovable and complex characters, interesting relationships, attention-grabbing plot. Representation done right - equaly badass men and women, equally important straight and gay relationships, etc. Also, almost everyone is really hot, which is always a plus :D. D'av and Dutch are exceptionally beautiful, just wow! Another thing I found refreshing is a 100% platonic friendship between Dutch and John - seems like such a mundane thing, but a complete lack of sexual tension between the opposite sex main characters still pretty rare in TV shows. They gave me a scare in the beginning of the 5th season, but fortunately they were just messing with our heads :D. John and Lucy is the best OPT <3.
What I did not like: inconsistencies in some sci-fi elements in order to make situations more challenging for the characters. D'av and Lucy have abilities that could often solve everyone's problems before they even start, but they often sort of forget them, and it's never addressed why they don't use them. D'av hardly ever uses his Green telekinesis in fights with the Hullen. Lucy clearly has free will to act outside her programming and awareness of things that are going inside her, yet repeatedly fails to inform the crew about various dangerous situations developing. The Hullen are stated not to have emotions, yet are clearly motivated by them - what they don't have much is empathy, but even that isn't 100% absent.
