“Thanks for the advice. Helpful as always,” Judge says, rolling to the side to successfully dodge an enemy attack. They were in another palace again, trying to bring down another person’s corrupted desires. Only this time Crow wasn’t in the middle of battle, hanging back at the discretion of Joker as he, Queen, Judge, and Fox fought the shadows.

Looking over his shoulder, he glared red masked ally, almost as if daring him to snark back. This was looking like a tense fight and the peanut gallery wasn’t helpful.

          “Aki~!”  There’s a rose-tint to Himeno’s cheeks as she singsongs his name,  the alcohol she’s consumed flushing her face warmly.  She leans into his personal space without asking,  a hand reaching out to pat his pocket in an attempt to find his pack of smokes that she knows must be stashed on his person.  When she comes back empty handed however the Devil Hunter pouts dramatically,  an exaggerated sigh falling from her lips as she tosses an arm across his shoulders.  “Gimme a cigarette,  Aki!  I’m all ouuut.”  @primasolaris​

eye twitched as he looked over at the other for a moment. Just to see the rock and then looking away for a moment. inhaling DEEPLY for a moment. There wasn’t a word that would come from his mouth. Though it took him a moment. a  very long moment before he turn back to look at the other (dumb-ass) Man.

wrong question. plenty of things already went throw his head. he was boring, he took a hit pretty hard. there was plenty of reasons he had heard of.  so nothing was going to hurt his feelings ( what was left of them ) but he wanted to question it after all.

JAMIE   ISN’T   GOOD   AT   THIS   YET      —      THIS   FEELINGS   STUFF.         he’s   getting   better,   thanks   to   dr.   sharon      (   thanks   to   coming   back   to   richmond,   thanks   to   finally   cutting   out   his   dad   from   his   fucking   life   ),      but   it’s   still   not   easy.      he   sits   back   in   his   chair,   heaving   a   heavy,   slow   sigh   as   he   thinks.      it   takes   awhile.

it’s  not  the  blood  that  haunts  k,  not  like  in  those  cheesy  horror  flicks.  it’s  not  the  echoing  sounds  of  death  triggering  some  tormented  guilt-ridden  grief.  it’s  the  fucking  smells  he  can’t  get  scrubbed  out  of  his  nostrils.  first  had  been  the  filth  of  the  bastard  soiling  himself  as  he  croaked,  a  real  piece  of  shit  until  the  bitter  end.  then  the  sterile  bleach  burned  rooms  at  the  police  station.  the  aftershave  of  the  detective  that  leaned  over  him  while  they  rolled  him  through  a  hardy  effort  of  good  cop  /  bad  cop.   he’s  chain  smoking  and  laying  across  the  hood  of  his  car  on  some  back  road  off  shoot.  he  flips  the  cell  phone  he’d  picked  up  off  his  dad’s  dead  body  between  his  fingers  a  few  times  while  burning  sun  spots  onto  his  retina  staring  up  at  the  sky.  a  fumble  tips  the  thin  plastic  onto  the  flat  of  his  stomach  and  he  sighs.  it  was  time  to  just  bite  the  fucking  bullet.  slender  fingers  swipe  and  punch  at  the  screen  in  frustration,  only  one  number  with  no  name  was  programmed  into  the  address  book.  he  lets  it  ring,  having  a  battle  of  will  with  whoever  might  be  on  the  other  end.  there’s  a  click  when  the  line  finally  picks  up,  but  only  silence  is  offered  in  greeting.  k  ventures  first  contact,  forcing  stability  into  his  voice  and  maybe  lowering  it  an  octave  or  two.  ❝  —  hello?  i’m  looking  for  a  friend  of  my  father.  i,  uh,   have  some  bad  news. ❞   //   @primasolaris​  ( plotted  starter )

“Sit anywhere you want! I’ll be out in a second!” he called from the kitchen, rushing about to get the last of the prep done for the next morning. with his parents out on vacation, and his full intention to stay out the entire night, he wanted to at least set them up as best he could. there wasn’t any good in leaving them out to dry — they were all family. snapping out of his daydream, he labelled the last batch of kimchi and heaved it into the fridge, taking time to wash his hands. “Do you want peach or blueberry soju?” Marco bounced lightly on his heels as he stared at both bottles before grinning and jogging out to the dining room, putting them down with a light clang in front of Jean. “Both, your answer’s both.” he huffed out as he slumped into the chair across from his old friend.

lifting the towel from his shoulder, he brushed over his head, making a mess of his black hair, spilled down into dark brown eyes. “I’m gonna take a shower, if you want to change and hang out in my room.” the Bodt family apartment sat on top of the restaurant, both were just as much a home as Marco’d ever had. “... you still sure you’re not gonna get annoyed if I hang around you? I don’t know anyone, and I wanna make sure you still have fun. Finals are over!” he chirped,a grin on his lips. he’d always been the type to hide anxiety beneath quick heel turns into positivity.

4.  How do you explain rp to someone in the real world? 

I’m a closeted roleplayer, ahdgwh.  Outside of my husband, and a couple of close friends, very few people who know me in the ‘real world’ know that I roleplay – or write, for that matter.  Over the years, I’ve had a few roleplay partners / friends come to stay with me, and the question “how did you meet?” always gets asked.  Usually, I gloss over the actual mechanics and simply refer to it as ‘collaborative storytelling’.

28.  Do you read people’s rules before following or interacting?

I do indeed.  It’s common courtesy, and I like to note any triggers my writing partners have asked to be tagged.  For my own comfort, and given that this blog is bursting with mature themes, I don’t want to interact with minors, so I always check their age is listed as 18+ too.

38.  What advice would you give to someone new to rp? 

No time spent writing is ever wasted.  Every post helps to develop your style, every headcanon adds more substance to your character.  Don’t be afraid to dabble with different platforms, or to be the one to jump in and initiate – send those memes, float those plot ideas!  As with any hobby, people invest themselves in roleplay, so be respectful and be kind.  That isn’t to say you should please others to your own detriment, or that you should hesitate to curate your own experience.  Chase what whets your creative appetite, immerse yourself in the characters, genres and communities that bring you joy.  At the end of the day, having fun is what it’s all about.
