“you can not remain a war between what you want to say (who you really are) and what you should say (who you pretend to be) your mouth was not designed to eat itself. — split.”

bro i am completely disconnected from reality right now
Okay, so I’m fairly confident I’ll be introducing exclusivity with romantic ships, meaning Annie will only be shipped with one iteration of each character. This is just to help me manage my interactions and keep me from feeling stretched too thin – I don’t expect my writing partners to reciprocate exclusivity! Whether we’re shipping already or it’s something you’re interested in, feel free to give this post a ♡ and I’ll see about updating my Google Doc this week.
Adonis, tr. by Khaled Mattawa, Selected Poems
Thinking about how my mom tried to “seduce” my dad when they were in college together by sneaking oranges into his backpack, because she grew up food insecure and feeding someone/sharing food was a big deal with her upbringing with a lot of emotional meaning–
and meanwhile my poor dad is just convinced that he’s been haunted by some citrus poltergeist because why the fuck are there always oranges in his bag he swears he did not put there???
my fear of abandonment? well that comes from my experience of being abandoned
Annie favours hooded sweatshirts not only because they are loose and hide her body shape, but because they give her a sense of shelter. They protect the back of her neck, they are comfortable and comforting. When she feels overwhelmed or wants to disappear, she pulls up the hood and shuts out the world. It’s a security blanket she can wear.
By Billelis.
The body, and how what it wants is to annihilate everything. That it’s filled with energy, and yet when I stand before you, my only wish is to vanish. The body is its own strange, and mystical language.
— Cynthia Cruz, from “Fragment,” Hotel Oblivion
