i'm rewatching primeval again but specifically the early seasons (well season 2) (i usually watch from 3 on if i'm doing an in order watch instead of just jumping around). Helen is a very good bad guy with her creepy intensity, but Nick was right they had something in common: that intensity.

they're going in completely different directions but every scene with one of them is just chock full of weird profound vibes. even when Nick's "chilling and vibing" with the team, it's there. the man can't even relax without acting like he's standing on the edge of a cliff making prolonged eye contact with death itself.

and then Stephen in the middle getting manipulated like crazy until he gets torn apart by a bunch of predators and other creatures. his story was just fkked up, man, you deserved better Stephen.

if Nick had actually sided with his wife, they would've been damn near unstoppable.

So we created a script about a scientist who became obsessed with this time portal in a museum and long story short, the monster on the other side was actually him. Inspired by Primeval's Future Predator (2007-2011) and Night at the Museum (2006)
