watch me make a very simple (mostly no-sew) scrap doll 🧶🧺✂️

•her body is a rolled receiving blanket, covered with scrap fabric from an old skirt to disguise the pattern

•her bonnet is the heel of a sock I cut up for a different project, with loops sewn in for ties

•her arms are simply a shirt cuff buttoned together

•her apron is a rectangle of a different part of the same skirt, tied simply behind her back

altogether this one took only a few minutes! I could spend the next couple of hours perfecting her, sewing up the sides and cleaning up loose ends, maybe even giving her hair and a face…but it’s kind of fun just to have a simple thrown-together doll for Mundy to play with. 💝

A little blessed spirit to help make a house a home!

These house blessing dolls are consecrated to bring blessing and protection to your home, and can be hung on any door, entrance way, or wall with a small loop of twine at the top of each doll.  These little sweet spirits are crafted from a mini twig broom, scented with spices, and decorated with a unique hand sculpted and painted face, with a natural moss head piece, and a skeletal holly leaf and brown string ribbon collar and centerpiece.  They can be traditionally "fed" with oils and blessed waters if you wish to foster their relationship with you and your home, or used as functional piece of primitive art.
