The High Society Collection 🦪 With a strong element of nostalgia, the High Society collection celebrates the delicacy, elegance, and sophistication of Regency fashion. This collection is a homage to the worlds of Jane Austen and Bridgerton where “High Society” or “Le Beau Monde” represented the pinnacle of contemporary English fashion. Exquisite wardrobes and accessories were often the product of colonial wealth. This collection is not a romanticization of colonialism, but an exploration of the beauty and simplicity of Regency era fashion, no longer exclusively available to the British upper classes. The Ursula Pearl Drop earrings are inspired by the 2011 adaptation of DH Lawrence's novel Women in Love (a small departure from the Regency era for this collection). The story follows the two Brangwen sisters, a school teacher and an artist, as they navigate their tumultuous love lives. Over the course of several years, Ursula wears a beautiful pair of cascading pearl drop earrings. Near the climax of the story, she symbolically gifts them to her sister, Gudrun. Their sisterly bond inspired me to design my own version of these elegant Pearl Drop earrings. .
