Like... back in coffee hell, people existed who would seriously come in and drop eight dollars on a single coffee order. When that happened it was always like “I see.... so an hour of my labor is worth about as much as this quad shot blended ice drink...... i want to die...”

Like. If people who make an acceptable, middle ground amount of money can so easily blow eight to ten dollars, I think we can afford to pay people working minimum wage A LOT more than eight to ten dollars.

LOOK, BUDDY... look here...... if you think working at a food service/retail type place is so easy that someone should only get paid less than $10.00, try it. There’s so much weird crap you have to put up with other than “flipping a burger” or “walking around and folding a shirt” that someone in a “higher level” job would never even have to dream of doing. also, you’re there. for eight hours of your life. doing work the whole time. probably not being allowed to pee when you need to pee, not being able to relax even if all the necessary work has already been done. People who will literally drop seven dollars on one food order for a frivolous meal somehow can’t stomach the idea of the person who makes that meal being paid seven dollars more per hour.

ah.... i’m fuming............... grandma’s mad.....
