Imagine traveling to another universe where the events of the Mario Movie were almost identical except with a different ending
‘His Super Mario World’
He is not just the king of the mushroom kingdom but also the king of the Kongs, the Ice Kingdom (the Penguins) and the ex civilians of the Koopa kingdom. Mario’s kingdom has become one of the biggest kingdom’s in and after the war with Bowser, after losing so much, after the fall of so many good people and rulers everyone begged Mario to be their new ruler after witnessing his heroic efforts; Hesitant at first Mario agreed believing that he has a responsibility to uphold for everyone since he thought it was his fault for the fall of most of the kingdoms and with his family dead after the war he had no where to turn to.
‘Meet the king’s brother’
Luigi is the reason Mario has to keep smiling, keep living and keep going, now that Mario was king he could no longer worry about what will happen to his brother now that they live in a safe and heavily gaurded castle, he almost lost his brother but he will never let that happen again; he will never lose his brother for as long as he lives. Luigi is one of the reasons why Mario became king, he figured that if Luigi lived in a nice, safe and guarded castle with strong Koopas and Kong’s protecting the kingdom Luigi will be safe.
‘The Mushroom Kingdom’s Worst Enemy’
Dry Bowser, the undead Koopa King. A terrible nuisance that keeps coming back again and again wanting so bad to take revenge against the King. But Mario will never let Dry Bowser win he will always fight the Boney Koopa King alone so no one else will get hurt. Besides it’s much easier to defeat Bowser over and over again with the help of the super star in his crown.
‘The Fallen’
There is a reason why Mario became king to all, it was the death of the rulers that ruled the lands that the civilians of each land felt desperate and scared until they learn about the great super Mario, heart broken and lost needing an idol and ruler more than anything they begged Mario to be the king. The death of Peach was heartbreaking to poor Mario and losing a great rival and friend like Donkey Kong made him lost that he visits the statues more often trying so hard to be a good king for their people. Mario constantly thinks about what could’ve been with Peach.
