I know I love the show, and always managed to keep out of the politics of it.

I love the show too. And I didn’t dare poke my toes into the fandom. I just heard the bad rep from the outside? It was hard to avoid.

I mean, that’s just a general way to describe the fandom. They’re really just... intolerable. Very nasty. Especially when it comes to the whole “bringing p*rnography of a kids show to such a high popularity that a young kid can’t google their favourite character without seeing a pair of horse boobs. Or worse.”

I don’t know why the lot tends to be alt-right though. I literally have no idea how a show about ponies finding friendship attracted them.

They aren’t related at all, but it still manages to upset people. They’re from separate timelines–so I can understand your mentality.

well yeah, thats pretty much how i see it. and their means of birth arent exactly conventional either. they were made from ectobiological, non-distinct goo, so technically they could all be related as far as i know. but i know i’m probably not in the majority with that mindset so it’s whatever.
