Hi there! I've loved your art forever and I'm curious: How do you feel about Hook being a former Lost Boy becoming canon in Disney's new Peter Pan adaptation?

To answer : I haven't seen the new Peter Pan, but I like any sort of exploration of their relationship ! Howeveeeeer, Christina Henry did do it first ( /coughs/ and probably better ; knowing Disney and its remakes ) so for it to be done again is sort of tired. To me.

That being said, I like the idea of them having some sort of relationship preceding their canon dynamic. For instance, I enjoyed the Syfy Neverland Miniseries' twist of Peter being the Dodger to Hook's Fagin back in London.

The Prince of Heart is an analytical asshole who wants to be loved. He himself lacks Heart so he has difficulty expressing himself, and is more logical than Heart players usually are due to him leaning on Mind.

Now the Prince of Heart isn’t just some emo asshat, not by a long shot, he is a destroyer of souls. Pit him against a foe and he will tear it’s soul to pieces with is own. He is a broken boy but he pushes all that pain back until he has to unleash his splintered soul to wreck some shit.

He would be brutally smart and would use that to his advantage. He’d use his knowledge of many things to make his destruction even more potent. Maybe he has a vast collection of harmful insults, or maybe a bunch of ways to drive people away. Well now I take that emo asshat thing back, he totally is. But he’s our emo asshat.

All in all not bad if you got a pal who can mellow him out, and get him to talk about his feelings and let the pain out so he can use the full unrestrained power of his soul as a weapon that can kill the unkillable. Note to self do not mess with him.
