why do you ship sansa with tyrion. why do you ship sansa with anyone. shes 14

Oh…? Is that supposed to stop me? I’m sorry, but it sounds a bit like you’re criticizing :/

Well, she’s only 13 in book verse. Some people ship Arya with someone and she’s about 11 years old. People ship Jon and Robb with some ladies and they are 15 (in best case scenario, Jon’s 16 now). People ship Dany with a few men, and she is about the same age as Jon. I’m just saying, that a lot of people in this fandom could get a question like this - considering that most characters are underage compared to our standards. But it’s only Sansa shippers who so often get this question, or called out because of it, it’s very weird.

In Westeros people can actually marry and give birth after they have their periods (like Sansa was forced to marry), Sansa considers herself a “woman grown” - which is ofc ridiculous, but this is how it is. Bran says he’s “almost a man grown” and he’s 9. It’s just how different age is in these characters’ heads. Even though they are young, they go through a lot of hardships, and they endure. They act much and much older compared to their actual age. Like Sansa is 13, but she is more mature in some ways than probably I am.

But that is not what matters, I got distracted. Because age is not what this ship is about. It is not a 13 year old girl that I ship with Tyrion.

So why do I ship Sansa and Tyrion? You can look at some of my metas about them (there is a direct link in my sidebar, although my blog seems to be in a crisis now and it’s not working :/ lol I’m stupid I just mistyped the link omg). Sansa and Tyrion is a future!ship. It’s not an active ship, because it’s a ship built on the possibility of these two characters slowly trusting and healing each other - because they both suffered a lot. There are many parallels in their storylines and in their emotions. And therefore if anyone can understand Sansa, it’s Tyrion, and if anyone can truly understand Tyrion, it’s Sansa. At least that’s the way I see it. I know age is a lot of problem for a lot of people…(And it’s perfectly fine to be bothered by it, but stay respectful when you talk about it.) But this could be a relationship built stone by stone - as in building something better together. Even if it’s only a friendship. This is what the shippers see in Sansa and Tyrion. And you know, we are all very fine with Sansa getting older in the meantime. (Like most of our fanfictions have some sorts of time gap in them, and Sansa is somewhere between 16 and 20 in them)

As to why ship Sansa with anyone… It just happens???? I assume?? People don’t want to creep other people out, trust me, they don’t want to scare you to death, or just because they ship something they are not pedophiles and they are probably not into relationships considered unhealthy. Idk about you, but for me shipping is something that just happens, because I enjoy the dynamics between two characters so much. I mean I didn’t just get up one day and decided that “from now on I ship Sansa and Tyrion”. :/ It just happened.
