Dead or lesser known fandoms make me feel more alive.
Went on a show binge and now I'm in love again. Tabaluga the baby dragon is cute and I wish to hug him IRL. Also made an OC cause I be bored and dull. I'll make a character ref for her later.
TIARA ALERT: Princess Lilly of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg wore a Diamond Palmette Tiara for the Amarante Ball at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm on 7 May 2022.
WELL HEY THERE! LOOK WHO MANAGED TO GET THIS DOWN BEFORE CHRISTMAS! I started this after finally seeing Holiday in Harmony at the beginning of the month (STILL SCREAMING ABOUT IT BY THE WAY) and do to feeling as if I had no time/procrastinating and writers block it took almost all month to finish BUT I DID IT! Anyway I just had to write holiday fluff featuring married!Broppy and my little OC daughter for them. Excuse any roughness, writers block sucks and even though I tried to force the muses I still had to try to get some thing out of them.
Anyway, Hope you enjoy!

~*~*~*~*~*~
It was the perfect winter day, fresh snow had fallen the night before coating everything like powdered sugar and bright, happy laughter echoed through the air. The village was alight with happiness as trolls of all ages enjoyed the soft, white ice, games being played aplenty across the town. The lake, which has been officially declared safe the day before for skating, was full of groups and pairs happily enjoying the frozen water by doing tricks and spins or chasing each other or even just holding hands as they skated around. The Queen of Pop herself was skating along happily, enjoying the smiles and joy of her subjects as she slowly glided along careful with her movements as to not slip. She was still a little shaky even after years of Branch guiding and teaching her but Poppy wouldn't let that tiny detail ruin her fun. She took in a deep breath of cold, refreshing air as her glittery purple skirt flowed around her knees. She could practically taste the excitement in the air and knew this was going to be an amazing holiday season.
Distracted by the thoughts of all the wonderful fun times to come with all the parties and music and wintertime enjoyment to be had, Poppy's glide faltered sightly and she suddenly felt herself tipping backwards. However instead of meeting the cold ice, she was met with a familiar sturdy chest as two strong arms came around to hold her gently, a soft, warm voice chuckling in her ear, “Careful there, Sunshine. Wouldn't want you to sprain an ankle.”
Grinning cheekily, Poppy tilted her head back to look up at the troll holding her, “I don't think that's a possibility~” She spun carefully in his arms to wrap her own around his neck, “Not when I have a big, strong, handsome man to catch me~” The queen punctuated her statement then by rubbing her pink nose against his dusky purple one.
Branch let out an amused noise before chuckling as he returned her nose nuzzle, pulling her just a tad closer unconsciously, “You're impossible~”
“You love me~” Was her response before sealing their lips together.
They stood there in their own little world, lips moving leisurely as Branch held her tight. Poppy hummed happily, feeling a foot pop into the air before her husband pulled away slowly. She giggled as he rested their foreheads together and gave her another gentle nose nuzzle before saying, “As much as I'd love to stay and trade kisses all day. I do believe we have some plans to get to?”
Lost in his icy blue eyes that shown with the deep love they shared it took the queen a moment to remember what he was talking about. And when she did, she brightened up like a light bulb, “Oh! Yeah! We do!” She gave an excited laugh, wiggling in his arms as he held her steady on the ice. It was time for another year of their secret gift exchange!!
Poppy had been so excited for this year's exchange, she had spent three days making up the invitations for everyone across the kingdoms. It gave her an incredible sense of the warm fuzzies to know this had become one of the best new traditions everyone enjoyed, seconded only by Branch's idea to gift songs! Now every other year they either swapped gifts or songs and it was just-it was so much fun! She couldn't believe she almost forgot! She'd only been out on the ice to wait for Branch while he finished up something before they went on their balloon ride.
Branch chuckled in amusement at his wife, and even after all this time it still amazed him she was his, before replying, “Then I suggest we get moving before it gets late.” He then expertly swept Poppy around the ice, delighting in her surprised and animated laughter as he spun them a few times before guiding her to shore where they quickly traded skates for boots. Poppy then took control and pulled him through the village to their balloon, snow crunching swiftly under their steps.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Once inside the balloon, having made sure all baskets containing the invitations were accounted for and secure, they began to rise to the sky. Poppy danced excitedly around as they rose higher and higher, getting ready to drop cards to every troll settlement when Branch began to frantically check over her winter gear. He tucked the end of her scarf, fluffed up her coat as he straightened it out, made sure her boots were snugly on and swiftly pulled out a pair of earmuffs. He'd been so quick, it took Poppy until he was adjusting the muffs to try and push him off with a whine, “Braaanch! Stooop!!”
“No!” He said, making more tiny changed to her outfit until he was satisfied, “It's colder up here and I do not want you to catch a cold again.”
“Pssh, please,” Poppy said, pushing him gently away with a roll of her eyes, “That was one time like eight years ago. I'll be fine.” He could be such a worry wort.
“It was twice and the last time was two years ago.” He replied flatly before his expression changed and he cupped her cheek with concern, “I just hate seeing you sick, Sunshine.”
Poppy's smile morphed into one of fondness, “I know. But I promise you, I'll be just fine~” She pecked him swiftly on the cheek before dancing out of reach and grabbing the first basket, “Now let's quit stalling and get to delivering!!!”
The teal king sighed but shook his head fondly before taking a basket and gesturing to the bright and joyful queen to begin their song. Giggling, Poppy skipped to the side of the balloon, hips swaying as music began to play.
“You all wanted to be hiding~ Like no one wants you around,” She grinned over her shoulder as she tossed sparkling invitations over the rail, “Hold your head a little higher, it's pretty simple~” She skipped back over, hair grabbing another basket as she booped her nose against his, “I'm in luck, I'm in luck, I'm in luck, cause we're together now~ Never stop looking up, if it's love. Don't even mess around~”
Chuckling, Branch grabbed his own basket and began helping her, twirling her around the basket and flinging the crafted cards over board to float down to the trolls below as he let out that sweet, dulcet tone. “I said I didn't want to light up, so turn the radio down.” He dipped her playfully, grinning as she giggled up at him, “Maybe I was in denial, but I've changed a little~ I'm in luck, I'm in luck, I'm in luck, cause we're together now~ Never stop looking up, if it's love~ Don't even mess around.” He stole a quick kiss before she danced away for another basket, shaking his head at her adorable antics and wondering just how did he get so lucky.
They continued to dance around the balloon basket, easily sliding and shifting around each other, trading dips and lifts and stealing kisses as they sang and delivered invitations to all of Troll Kingdom. Their voices harmonized easily as they continued their wintery trip, Poppy tossing handfuls of her hard work to deliver names to all the trolls waiting for this holiday tradition. It truly was one of her favorite times of year!
“I'm in luck, I'm in luck, I'm in luck~ Cause we're together now~” Poppy sang loud and proud, laughter barely contained as Branch spun her around, “The bad days! Are over! Cause we come together! The bad days! Are over! Cause we come together now~”
Just as Branch was ending the final note, Poppy pulled him into a deep kiss, effectively cutting him off as their balloon lander back in Pop Village. She grinned happily at him as he shook his head at her and began to lead her down the ramp. The queen managed to grab the last basket, knowing there were two final invites in it as she let her husband pull her back into their happy home.
Trolls everywhere were gleefully catching some still falling invitations, others giggling as they read whoever their secret recipient was or even sharing names with friends in a whisper. Poppy could practically feel the excitement ramping up as she danced in place, proud of this wonderful thing she has started. Watching Branch observe the growing enthusiasm of happy trolls, Poppy was about to grab his attention to pick his own invitation when someone grabbed it first.
“Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!”
Branch's smile as he watched Pop Village begin to come even more alive morphed into a grin of love and pride as he caught the blur of lavender and mint green coming his way. Hosting the trolling up, he felt his face softening at the sight of the bright eyed daughter he and Poppy had created. The five year old's smile was wide and her pink eyes sparkled with the same energy that Poppy's did. Her royal purple-pink ombre hair wiggled with all her excitement as she thrusted an invitation up to his nose.
“Lookie, Daddy!!” Their little Lilly cried happily, “I caughted a in...in-ti-tation!!”
Branch smiled warmly down at her as he held her close, chuckling at her attempt to say 'invitation', “I can see that, Flower Bud.” He rubbed his nose against hers, gaining a musical little giggle he couldn't get enough of. “I bet you're excited to partake in your first gift exchange, huh?”
The little princess nodded her head rapidly, “Uh-huh!! Pappy had-ta readed the name for me but he said he wouldn't tell no-one.” She gestured Branch closer with a gloved hand and whispered loudly, “Cause it's a secwet”
Branch nodded solemnly, “That it is. Don't wanna give it away...” He gave her an exaggerated sly look, “But you can trust me, can't you, Flower Bud? So who'd you get?”
“Nu-uh!! Not tellin'!” Lilly cried, shaking her head and clutching the invitation to her chest. She pouted up at her dad with a look that Poppy loved to tell him looked just like him, “It's a secwet, Daddy!”
Branch chuckled, “Alright, alright. I'm sorry.”
“You should be.” Poppy said, inserting herself, grin wide and playful, even as she tried to look scolding, “Trying to get Lilly to tell you her Secret Gift Person. Tut-tut.”
“Mommy!!” Lilly cried, wiggling in Branch's arms as she showed Poppy the card in her hands, effectively cutting off Branch's reply, “I got-a in-ta-tation!!”
“I see that, Sprinkle~! I'm so happy for you!” Poppy grinned at her daughter. She then looked at her husband, “And speaking of invitations, Daddy and I still have to chose ours.” She held up the last two and gestured, “Take your pick, My Man~”
“Hmm...” Branch thought about which one he should chose, judging from the sparkling outside of the identical cards and trying to imagine just who in all of Troll Kingdom he could get. He then looked down at the little girl in his arms and asked, “Which one do you think I should choose, Flower Bud?”
“Um...” Lilly scrunched up her face, dusty nose wrinkling as her eyes squinted in deep thought, unaware of how much her parents found the look adorable before she pointed with absolution at the right most card, “'Dat one!”
“Hmm? You sure?” Branch asked, hovering his hand over it, “This is the best one?”
“Yup!” The princess said with all the finality of a little kid.
“Well,” Branch shared a look with Poppy, “This Princess has spoken.” He then plucked the card from his wife's hands as she giggled, setting Lilly down as he turned away to see who he had gotten. Opening the card, and chuckling silently as some glitter fell out, he pulled out the small strip of paper and had to keep from reacting too much as he saw the name. Of course. Of course he would somehow get Poppy again for the fifth time. Shaking his head, he'd swear she was purposely stacking the cards if he hadn't gotten other trolls throughout the years. At least the pressure to find or make the perfect gift didn't feel as big as the first year they'd done this. He smiled at the memory, remembering how stressed and worried he'd been before being blown up. And she still loved that scrapbook he'd made her, it was in a place of pride on one of their bookshelves. Glancing over his shoulder, he spied her doing a little excited wiggle at however she had pulled and wondered if fate had allowed her to drawn his name again too.
Shrugging, he would have to wait until they exchanged gifts later, Branch tucked the name away before turning back to his girls. “Well, it seems we have some gift finding to do, Your Majesty.”
“Oh yes. Yes, we do.” Poppy said, grinning as she tried to copy his casual pose, “Sooo many ideas to choose from.”
Chuckling, the king looked down at the little trolling dancing around their feet and knelt down to ask her, “Alright, Flower Bud. Who do you wanna go with? Mommy and me?”
“Mommy!” Lilly cried after a moment of thought, jumping over to hug Poppy's leg with a giggle.
Poppy tried to stifle a snicker at the brief betrayed look Branch wore before he sighed dramatically, “Alright, I get it. Mommy is pretty great. But...” He suddenly scooped up their daughter causing her to shriek with laughter as he swung her around and placed fast pace kisses over her face, “No one's going nowhere without hugs!” And just then three hug time bracelets went off.
“Hug Time!!!” Lilly cried before wrapping her arms as tightly around Branch's neck as she could as he squeezed and nuzzled her hair. His own hair whipped over and before Poppy knew it she was, happily, dragged into the hug. She giggled as she wrapped her arms around her family, nuzzling Branch back before stealing a kiss.
“We'll see ya later, Handsome~”
“Looking forward to it, Sunshine.”
The royal couple pulled away then, Lilly slipping down to the snow to jump happily around Poppy before her mother took her hand and they went toward the village proper, Branch heading toward the bunker. The queen and princess waved goodbye with enthusiasm before skipping off to find gifts. Branch shook his head, face aglow with pure fondness for his girls before heading off to work on a gift for his wonderfully, bright wife.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Branch settled in at his desk back in the bunker, a collection of various folders and notebooks full of plans and schematics compiled through the years in front of him. He flipped through the many, many ideas he'd had for Poppy over the years, trying to find one that spoke the most to him. Unlike the very first gift exchange, he told himself he wasn't going to go overboard, no multi-layered gift that eventually blew up this time. However none of the sketches and designs were speaking to him and while he may not be worried about finding the 'perfect' gift, he still wanted to find one he felt good about gifting Poppy.
Sitting back, he let his gaze wander over the underground dwelling, taking in the changes that had occurred since regaining his colors. Colors for one, there are now more colors than just the dull gray-blue curtains he used to hide those old invitations. Rich, warm tones that didn't clash with the earthen hues, greens and blues with touches of warm brown or copper. But there were dashes of brighter colors too, bright pink and purple and yellow on all the throw-pillows that decorated his once sparse seating. And there are rugs now too, plush creations that were wonderful to feel under feet and to lay on once in a while. He also couldn't forget the pictures that now graced his walls and shelves, telling storied of the good times he'd had since renouncing his hermit ways. Poppy and The Snack Pack were frequent subjects but there were others too, Rock and all the other genres popping up. And of course more recent additions featuring the most perfect little girl in the world.
Yes his bunker had gone through a lot of changes just like he had and while it was more of a home away from home these days, it was still home and a safe place for him.
Surveying the few holiday decorations gracing the ceilings, walls and shelves, Branch hummed lightly as he just let his mind wander back to what to make for Poppy. He still hadn't managed to top his first scrapbook, in his own mind at least and not that he was really trying too anyway, but he still wanted to make something that he knew Poppy would enjoy just as much. Oh, who was kidding? Poppy would love anything he gave her but that didn't mean he wasn't going to put forth his very best.
Something caught his eye then and he turned to see one of Poppy's snow-globe's sitting on one of the shelves. Poppy adored the things, loved to watch the glitter and confetti move over whatever little scene was inside. And he had a feeling Lilly would adored them just a much as she got older. Slipping over, he took the globe and gave it shake, watching the fake snow and glitter swirl around before the idea hit him. Yes! That was it! Grinning, he placed the globe back down and grabbed some fresh paper, beginning to furiously work out the details. He was confident Poppy was gonna love this!
~*~*~*~*~*~
Poppy hummed carols as she finished up the last touches on Harper's gift, knowing the artist would love the new bunch of brushes, paints and other painting supplies inside. It had a been a semi-successful trip to the market place earlier up until Lilly had started getting tired and frustrated at being unable to find a gift. Poppy had tried to get the name of her secret gift receiver but her sweet little Sprinkle was still refusing to say. So a suggestion of a tiny break with some hot chocolate was made that turned into some much needed nap time. Hopefully her little darling would be a little more willing to at least hint at whoever's name she had gotten so she could help guide toward a gift Lilly would feel confident giving.
Speaking of her little gumdrop, Her ears picked up the shuffling of a tiny feet before she heard a soft, “Mama?” Turning, she found a rather morose looking trolling looking up at her clutching her snuggle toy. “Oh, Sprinkle...” She quickly picked her daughter up, cuddling her close as she took in the drooped ears and hair, “What's wrong?”
Lilly sniffed and buried herself in her mother's embrace, “Can't find prezzie...”
“Oooh, Baby.” Poppy muffled her slight laughter, not laughing at the little one in her arms but rather at the situation. Of course her daughter would be still upset about not finding a gift yet, she had a feeling whoever Lilly had gotten was special to her if she was getting this upset. Although knowing how sweet and kind-hearted she was becoming, it could be just about anyone in the village. “We'll make sure to find a great gift. And hey,” Poppy tilted a little lavender face up, “If you tell me who you got, I can help even more. Or we could go ask Pappy? Since he knows. What d'ya say?”
Poppy watched as Lilly's face fell a little more, her expression clear on her face that she was thinking about it before she mumbled softly, “It's Daddy...”
“Oh.” Poppy blinked before really trying not to laugh. Of course. Of course somehow Lilly would get Branch's name and be worried about finding a gift for him. She was the very definition of a Daddy's Girl after all. She shook her head, unable to believe the circumstances of this before nuzzling her nose gently against the trollings hair, “Oh, Sprinkle. That's so easy! Daddy will love anything you give him!” And Poppy certainly wasn't thinking about their first gift exchange, where she had worried and freaked about the same thing only to have given him nothing...until their balloon ride that was. She couldn't help but get lost in the memory of riding high through the stars, alone with him when inspiration struck and she'd given him one their first kisses.
“But, Mama!!” Her daughter's whine brought her back to stare at the distressed face of a five year old, “Daddy's the bestest!!! It-It-It's gotta be the bestest prezzie!!!” Lilly wiggled in her arms, “And-and-and-!!!” Pink eyes began to tear up in her upset before she began crying.
“Sprinkle. Oh, Lilly, shhhh...” Poppy gently shushed her, rocking her side to side as she talked softly to calm her down. “It's okay, baby. It's gonna be okay. We'll figured something out.” She rocked and hummed until Lilly had calmed down before wiping away tears. “Do you want Mommy to help?”
The princess nodded, “Uh-huh.”
“Okay.” Poppy smiled down at her, knowing just how to help, “Now let's see...What does Daddy like?” She'd help guide Lilly toward an idea, hoping one would just out at this caring little girl in her arms.
“Mama!” Lilly happily pointed out before pointing to herself, “Lilly!”
Poppy giggled, “Yes. Daddy does love us. What else?”
“Um...” Poppy tried not to coo too loudly at just how adorable Lilly could be as she thought hard about what to say before answering, “Bein' safe! And-and-p...p'e-arded!”
“That's true,” The pink troll nodded, “Daddy does love being safe and prepared. Anything else?”
“Um...” Lilly thought long and hard, face twisting in concentration before her eyes lit up and she began to jump and wiggle, “W'ittin'!! A notey-book!!! And-and-and pe'cils!!”
Poppy's eye crinkled with warmth and pride, “You wanna gift Daddy and journal and pencils?”
“Uh-huh!!!” A little head rapidly nodded.
“Well then,” Poppy gently tossed her into the air, delighting in the excited giggles that got her, “Let's go find one!”
“Yaaay!!” Lilly cheered, wiggling out of her mother arms and going to quickly toss on her boots and coat, Poppy following with a giggle.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Evening fell and with it came time for everyone to exchange gifts. Excitement rang through the air as trolls from all over mingled, waiting to the official go ahead from the Pop royals. Branch, Poppy and Lilly stood on the large mushroom stage, Princess dancing around her parents legs with anticipation. Poppy herself was beside herself as they waited for the last few trolls to arrive. The energy of the coming celebration was one of her favorite parts, besides the party itself, and she couldn't wait to give her gift to Harper! That was the best part about gift giving, the look on the recipients face! Second best was of course the feeling you got at seeing that look.
She shared an excited look with Branch, who was standing calmly beside her, cape and crown blowing gently in the soft breeze, before glancing down at Lilly, twirling nearby in flurry of snow, before pulling out three party poppers. She grinned as Branch took his own look around before nodding and she passed him a popper before scooping up their little girl. It was time!
Giving a popper to Lilly, she grinned down at her, “Ya ready, Sprinkle?”
“Yeah!!”
“Okay, on three!” The queen stepped to the edge of the stage, looked over her eager subjects, glanced back at Branch before grinning at Lilly. “One.” She held up her popper, Lilly doing the same, “Two~” She wrapped her hair around the end, Lilly grabbing the end of hers, “Three!!!” Three pops sounded out as Poppy cheered, “Let's get exchanging!!!”
Cheers arose high into the air, trolls swarming around to find the owner of the name they pulled as Poppy twirled herself and Lilly around. With a giggle she skipped back over to Branch and passed off the trolling before giving them both a quick kiss and a 'Be right back~' before she was hopping off the stage to go find Harper. Chucking at his wife's antics, looked like he'd be waiting to give her his gift, Branch set his daughter down.
“Looks like Mommy's off on a mission. Should we go find your secret swap partner?” He asked with a soft grin.
“Um...” Blinking as his usually vibrant little girl turned uncharacteristically shy, the king watched her tug a rectangle box wrapped in a sparkling green tree paper out of her hair, knocking her seasonal flower crown askew. She held up the package, red bow ruffled slightly, and said, “Got Daddy.”
“Oooh...” Branch didn't think his heart could melt anymore but seeing his daughter look at him with such shy hope on her little lavender face it did just that. Smiling softly, he sat on his knees and accepted the gift, “Thank you, Flower Bud.” Unwrapping it carefully, he found an unassuming white box inside before pulling off the lid and pealing back the green tissue paper to find a branch new, sturdy looking journal inside. He didn't dare fight the grin at seeing the gift and seeing the clearly customized job of three glittery leaves on the cover and metallic lettering spelling out 'Daddy's Journal' beside a new set of pencils.
“Mommy helpeded with glitter...” Lilly mumbled as she watched her dad take in his gift.
Branch grinned at her, love swelling in his chest, “It's perfect, Flower Bud.” What had he done to get such an adorable, sweet daughter?
“Really?”
He chuckled, “Yup.” He then scooped her up and hugged her close, delighting in her happy giggles, “It's one the best gifts I've ever gotten~ Thank you~” He kissed her head swiftly, “I think you're gonna be a great gift giver just like Mommy.”
“I am?!”
Branch chuckled before rubbing his nose against hers, “Yup~”
~*~*~*~*~*~
Poppy happily danced back up to the stage, buzzing with happiness and aglow with fulfillment at another successful gift swap. And now it was time to get this party started! She found Branch and Lilly where she'd left them and had a moment to take in her family before Lilly was running over with glee.
“Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!” She caught the trolling with ease, tossing her gently into the air before holding her close. “Lookie!” The princess cried, holding out her wrists to show off two shiny black wrist bands encrusted with dull spikes. “Aunty Barb gaved them!! And!” If it was possible her grin got larger as she bounced in her mother's arms, “And-And-Andandand!!! Daddy loved his noteybook!!”
Poppy giggled and nuzzled Lilly, “Told ya he would, Sprinkle~” She grinned at Branch over their daughter's head as she walked closer before glancing at the large, sparkling box, “Though it looks like he hasn't given his gift yet.”
Branch chuckled and quickly stole a kiss from her before replying, “Well I had to wait for her to get back here.” He held out a simple remote to Poppy with a smile.
Poppy blinked in confusion before she got his meaning and laughed, bright and happy, “You seriously got me again?” She took the offered remote with a smirk, “How many times is that? Five?”
“Something like that.” He shook his head fondly, “I swear you must find a way to stack the cards so I get you.”
“You know I don't!”
“I know, I know.” The teal king nodded toward the gift, waiting for the queen to open it, “Go on. It's all yours.”
Grinning, and knowing the assembled trolls were watching with bated breath to see what it was he'd done this year, Poppy shifted Lilly in her arms before pressing the green button. Nothing seemed to happened at first, though Poppy swore she heard a faint hum, before suddenly the gift sprung open with a joyful 'pop!' and before her was something absolutely adorable and amazing. “Oh my hair...” Poppy's grin grew bigger as she took in the life size snow globe sitting in front of her. A study wooden base, stained a rich brown held a plastic dome ball and inside was a whimsical little winter scene of a gingerbread house, snow covered trees and three snow-trolls, sparkling with lights. The faint hum was a motor inside swirling around fake snow and glitter, giving it the look of it's smaller brethren.
“Branch...this is...” Poppy was almost at a loss for words as she circled the masterpiece, taking in from all side as Lilly wiggled from her arms to get a closer look. She turned and smiled wide at her husband, “This is amazing!!” She then promptly tackled him in a hug, Branch catching her easily with a spin.
“Glad you like it.” He smiled at her, “It's easily rechargeable and we can put it out in the yard every year.”
“I love it. It's perfect.” Poppy said, cupping his face before pulling him into a kiss as their audience cooed. Pulling back, her excited grin came back, “Now why don't we get this party started?”
“Thought you'd never ask.”
“Lilly!” The princess turned and squeaked happily as Poppy gestured to the crowd, “Wanna get us started?”
“Yeah! Yeah!” Mint green boots stamping over the mushroom, the trolling rushed toward the edge before thrusting her fists in the air as she cried, “Let's Party!!!”
A cheer went up as music started and Poppy twirled away from Branch as she began to sing, “Counting the days, waited all year. Sit back and celebrate when Giftmastime is near~ Once, too soon, I bought your gift in May. Can't believe you're here on my favorite holiday~” Grabbing Lilly she playfully tossed the trolling into the air, catching her as she slid her feet across the stage, relishing in the giggles of the five year old before gently tossing her to Branch. Grabbing his hand, the queen pulled him into a spin as she stared into his icy blue eyes, “There's been times before, you wish for so much more~ When I was down and filled with doubt I had yooouu~! And we made it through the year, it's so good to be here!” Twirling away, she danced around her little family, smiling as Lilly's childish voice joined in to her best ability, “So we put it in a song, dance the way we want, turn the fire on~” She gave a little hip swivel, “Baby, we can wrap in up together, give to one another. Snuggle through the weather, Baby, Giftmas, C'mon~”
Branch chuckled as he watched Poppy dance around him before joining her in earnest, spinning around with Lilly before letting the trolling go to dance as he took Poppy's hand and spun her close, “Put the star on the tree, let the record spin while you're dancing next to me~” A quick peck to the cheek and he was spinning her away, keeping hold of her hand as he guided them around the stage, “Keep me warm from the snow, under the mistletoe we'll watch the fire glooow~” The king dipped her low, taking in her joy flushed face as he nuzzled their noses together before pulling them up, “There's been times before, you wish for so much more. When I was down and filled with doubt I had yooou~ And we made it through the year, it's so good to be hear~” They danced in sync, spinning and twirling, dipping and swivels as they sang though another round of the chorus, the crowd singing and dancing along, “So we put it in a song, dance the way we want, turn the fire on~ Baby, we can wrap in up together, give to one another. Snuggle through the weather, Baby, Giftmas, C'mon. Baby, Giftmas, C'mon~”
Trolls of all genres continued to dance and sing, the party being enjoyed even as the song ended for another soon started. The little princess soon ran off to play and dance with her friends, leaving her parents to watch over the party, content and happy. Poppy felt Branch's arms wrap around her from behind and she leaned into his warmth, easily snuggling into his embrace. She sighed happily, feeling light and airy enough to float away with just how happy she felt at knowing another gift swap had gone wonderfully. She hummed happily as Branch nuzzled his nose against the side of her head, unsurprised to her him sing softly to just her.
“I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love cause we're forever now~”
She giggled and looked over at him, “That's not how the song goes.”
“Hmm...could've fooled me.” The teal troll then cupped his wife's cheek and pulled her into a soft and lingering kiss, rubbing their noses together as they pulled away, “I love you, Poppy. Happy Giftmas.”
“I love you, too, Branch~ Happy Giftmas~” She then grinned at him, “Now let's go party.”
“Lead the way, Your Majesty~” He chuckled, following her down and into crowd for another memorable party and year to come.
~*~*~*~*~*~
And there you have it! Hopefully a good mouth-full of fluff! And yes, I called the Gift Swap, Giftmas because it worked for the song XD Hope you all enjoyed and hope you all have a happy holiday!

Christmas C'mon-Lindsey Stirling (With a tiny lyric change)
For the AMAZING @rmg91, her absolutely adorable Broppy fan baby, Princess Lilly!!!! Such a sweet little ray of pure sunshine.
And I’m waiting impatiently for the day she becomes part of our RP, the most wonderful RP I’ve ever been part of, I might add. No contest, whatsoever. I honestly can’t thank you enough, for building such a beautiful world with me. In a time where everything feels so wildly bleak and terrifying, all the emotional feels-driven scenes and shared headcanons have just given me so much hope.
