February 1st - Princess Zanda 

Ruler of the sovereign nation of Narobia.  Zanda threatened Wakanda with missile strikes unless The Black Panther agreed to do her bidding in obtaining for her a mystical item known as King Solomon’s Frog.   She later extorted T’Challa once more, this time to locate a water-skin fabled to endow eternal youth.  Zanda has also had run-ins with Iron Man as well as Storm of The X-Men.  She first appeared in the pages of Black Panther #1.

Black Panther #1:

A lot has been said by more qualified people than I about Black Panther’s Afro-Futurism aesthetic. Princess Zanda, who’ll be adventuring with Black Panther and Mister Little this time, is a great example of this.
