Yesterday was the official day but let's face it, we're all still dealing with it. ( anakin, alone, did not suffer ---- the galaxy suffered in his loss of his love. ) & yet, her words are empathetic. despite all of the horrible things this darth vader has done, padme will never believe that to be anakin, not her anakin. that was not the man she loved. she fell in love with the boy from tatooine who was selfless. she fell in love with the man who defended what he believed in. she fell in love with the jedi who protected all that was good, just as she did. ( he was gone, now & so was she. padme amidala was no more & neither was anakin skywalker. she was replaced with a pale & sad & hollow version of herself & he with a sith. )
