Ouran for the meme! :)

1. Episode 18: Kyoya’s Reluctant Day Out. Character development as done by cultural gaps is great and this is probably the best of the character focus episodes because it doesn’t focus on romance or on backstory, but on reluctant friendship and the contrasting world views of Kyoya’s and Haruhi.

2. Episode 12: Honey’s Three Bitter Days/Episode 18: Chika’s Down With Honey Declaration. They are the same episode and they are hilarious. Honey is hilarious.

3. Episode 1: Starting Today You Are A Host. What starts it all! First episodes are a bit hit or miss but this one is really good. The pin probably drops for the audience before it drops for Tamaki, but it’s just really fun to watch each of the characters figure what’s up with Haruhi.

4. Episode 23: Tamaki’s Unwitting Depression. Both parts of the Kasanoda mini-arc are pretty good but I definitely prefer the latter. The episode strikes a pretty interesting balance with making the viewer feel bad for Kasanoda and also think the whole situation is hilarious which pretty much mirrors what the characters in the show go through. Also everything Tamaki does in this episode are hilarious.

5. Episode 11: Big Brother Is A Prince. This episode is just really fucking funny.
