Madeline (Maddie) Victoria Evans
Maddie and Izzy share a majority of their traits. Both have bright green eyes, a small pointed nose, freckles, dimples, and flaming hair. Maddie is shorter than Izzy by a few inches, standing at around 5'5" on a good day. She is also in general built smaller than Izzy. Maddie was an all season athlete. She played volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, she ran track during the spring, and played softball during the summers.She felt that having practice offered her a nice schedule and forced her to stay on track with her school work.
Madeline has always been considered the smart one of the two. She is a curious girl who likes to know about the world she exists in. She's also very fond of animals and has been her entire life. As a child she was constantly pushing to get some sort of pet. Eventually succeeding on four occasions which lead to their two dogs, a cat, and a gerbil. Maddie is also very competitive. She likes to win in all situations of her life and she brings her full force against everything that she does in life.
Maddie went to the same college Izzy did but they allowed themselves space to grow. While Izzy threw herself into the theatre Maddie spent a majority of her time in the lab. She majored in biology and chemistry. After graduation she was accepted into the veterinary medicine program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. It was one of her proudest moments.
Maddie is very supportive of Izzy and has been to every opening night since Izzy started acting. She brings a bouquet of flowers with her, and Izzy keeps them at her mirror for the duration of her show. It's become a sort of good luck ritual between the two of them. Izzy does what she can to help Maddie prepare for exams and sometimes will run with Maddie or they will go to the gym together. They know they get a better work out in when they go together because neither likes to lose. Especially to each other.
When Izzy told Maddie about being a magical girl she didn't believe her. She told Izzy to stop being ridiculous and even offered up the idea of seeing a specialist. She is very firmly set in her world and has no time for the idea of something as silly as her sister telling her that she has magical abilities. However, she does believe what she sees and between Kaeii, her ability to transform and shoot tiny daggers, Maddie was then convinced. She's very protective of her sister and thinks that fighting spooky things is a good way to put her sister on the fast track to dead.
