Deadly Three Closed Starter: Queen Maleficent Verse
@sassydeathangel @haley-deadflowers
Cora played with the silver fan, opening it and shutting it in her hands. Idle chatter filled the room around her, villains gleefully celebrating Maleficent’s victory. For a fairy who claimed not to like parties, she sure seemed to throw them a lot. Then again, she also liked to use them to get rid of those who resisted her rule. And Cora was one of the...fortunate...few who got the job to help her with that. Her job was both terrifying and interesting. Interesting in that everyone pretended not to know that she was an assassin- despite the fact that their continuous stares at the red-gowned girl showed they all knew who she was -and terrifying in that she sometimes had long, detailed conversations with people, smiling, telling them how wonderful they were, expressing her interest... ...and ignored their pleas for mercy as she murdered them later.
At least I tell them the charges before they die, Cora reasoned with herself, That’s more than Mother usually does.
Finally, her gaze fell on one of tonight’s targets: Claude Frollo. The former Parisian judge, known for his own (attempted) murder of the gypsy Esmeralda and hunchback Quasimodo, had long been vocal in his support of Maleficent. Yet recently, there had been rumors he’d also been vocal in starting a rebellion. And Maleficent just couldn’t have that. Cora excused herself from her conversation, beginning to make her way over to Frollo, when she spotted two very familiar figures heading in the same direction.
Evie’s royal inheritance was basically ignored when she got to Auradon. Do you think they may do the same for you?
I think they can try, but it won’t work. I’m a direct heir by blood. Snow White was the heiress to her kingdom, with Queen Grimhilde as her stepmother. Evie was born after Snow White (the blood heir) was already crowned queen and Queen (Dowager) Grimhilde was banished to the Isle…so Evie is a stepchild and has no claim on a throne. She’s technically a princess without a kingdom. I still think she deserves the title though. If nothing else, she should be a duchess, especially after what she’s done to save Ben. You’d think he’d recognize her as that, at least.
Para: Nightmares
Sometimes, the pull to slip was almost magnetic. It was heady, intoxicating, dizzying, a lure into a world of the forbidden and the macabre. Cora avoided it like the plague, but there were times when she couldn’t. Sometimes in her sleep.
She saw herself in a massive gown, silk, rubies, and diamonds spiraling around her. The jewels glittered in the light of Wonderland’s two moons, simultaneously casting shimmers and shadows around her. She’d be standing the royal gardens beyond the Chessboard Palace, white roses dripping red. Rain a thousand colors of the rainbow would pour from the sky, drenching her gown and washing the red hue off the roses. As they faded to white, she felt rage climb within her, and she clenched her fists. How dare they. How dare they say I’m not enough. That I don’t matter. That I’m weak.
Nausea filled her system, and as unseen figures moved about the garden, whispers filled her ears: “Crazy.” “Freak.” “Magic-less.” The last one was like a punch to the gut, and even as she took in the storm, she resisted the urge to double over and press her hands over her ears to block out their condemnations.
I don’t need magic. I am not powerless. I am fire. I will blaze like the light of a thousand suns, and any who lie to me will pay.
At that thought, usually lightning would flash, and she’d scream, her throat raw, “Off with their heads!” The next parts of her dream would be jagged, like fractured pieces of a puzzle. Still, even in her dream, she’d realize that as the whispers went silent, the red on the roses wasn’t paint. And it wasn’t courtiers who put it there, but Cora herself.
It was that thought that made her shoot straight up in bed, swallowing not only the tears at her nightmare, but also the part of her that thrilled at the sight of the red. The part that thrilled at her being a nightmare.
Girl Talk: Uma & Cora
Cora wasn’t blind. She’d heard the words flying back and forth between Ben and Uma, seen the intense looks the two had shared. It seemed like Mal had more to worry about than just Uma planning to break out of the Isle. If Cora wasn’t wrong, Uma might just be starting to break up the king and his girlfriend convince the king that more than just the first four VKs deserved a chance.
Cora smirked slightly, unsure whether Uma would open up to her. But she figured nothing ventured, nothing gained, and so she tapped the pirate captain on the shoulder: “So, care to tell me what’s really going on with you and Ben?”

My Muse’s Phone: Chad Charming edition
@chadchxrming
Send 📱 To Find Out About My Muse's Phone
What ringtone my muse has set for yours: “Glamorous,” by Fergie
What contact photo my muse has set for yours: the picture of Chad with his crown slightly tilted, but Cora put a filter over it where she wrote, “DON’T LISTEN TO THE BLUEBIRDS, CHAD” because she’s convinced the bluebirds are encouraging his crown-slanting ways
What my muse thinks of the way yours texts: she just thinks chad is overall hilarious with all his drama and nicknames
How quickly my muse responds to your texts: Cora usually takes a second to absorb the ridiculousness that is Chad’s latest text, but then answers quickly because she knows he’ll (probably) freak out otherwise
How often our muses text: They text a lot, despite their frequent declarations they can’t stand each other
How often our muses call: not often, Cora knows Chad most likely won’t pick up for a long call since he’s taking a selfie
Does my muse purposefully miss calls from yours: no. actually if he DOES call she worries something is wrong.
Last text sent from my muse to yours: “Chad, we’ve talked about the bluebirds. PS, I traced my ancestry back to the year 17 B.C. Yours only goes to 1697 A.D., right?”
