Trying several methods of using Derwent Inktense on the printable fabric before committing to a project.
*To update a cold water rinse, as recommended for this fabric, took care of the bleed on the side of the cheek. The colors softened a bit so going over them again wouldn't be out of the question. Or waiting until after its heat set with an iron, again part of the instructions.
This is the photo fabric for inkjet printers sold in sheets and rolls for quilting. Definitely take the backing paper off before painting. Give it the patience you'd give mixed media paper. The sizing does go away in the rinse stage.
I'm using Derwent Inktense which is like a fast drying watercolor. Do practice on paper and get used to how it behaves before using it here.
