leaving a cafe in the old quarter with an old friend before Tet 2016 he is still doing what he likes since secondary school with his own #printopia company of products with graphic design we produced a paper magazine together back then he hand wrote all the pages and hand designed the cover we were called out of the class to be reminded by the school that we can't just host a charity collection on our own behalf Duy, Linh B and i were kind of the odd ones in class - a not so girly girl, a not so boyish guy, a nerd who were good close friends for some years this winter was not as cold for such cosy wear forgot that scarf on the bus in either Da Lat or Myanmar oh when you were not ruined by a fulltime job! p.s. imagine not having a shower for almost a year, that's what a fulltime job does to your motorbike as well
Evidence of Learning on the iPad, Saved Neatly To My Laptop
After BETT 2013 quite a few people have been asking me about handing in iPad projects to the teacher's laptop with Printopia software.
I blogged about this last summer, but here on Valentines day, (sharing the love) is my Snapguide complete with video.

iPad Hints - AirPrint to Any Printer and Skype Video Conferencing
From the time the iPad was first released, the real question has been: "When will the iPad replace my laptop?" Thankfully, we seem to be getting closer day by day. In my opinion, two essential functions for any portable computer are the ability to print and the ability to video conference. Let me show you how to take advantage of these functions with the iPad.
Apple released a feature known as AirPrint almost a year ago, allowing iOS devices to print to a select group of HP printers. For most people, this meant having to purchase a brand new printer in order to print. Thankfully, there are two great options out there that will allow you to print from your iPad to your exsiting printer, provided the printer is connected to a computer on your network. If your printer is connected to a Mac, take a look at Printopia for $19.95. If your printer is connected to a Windows machine, check out FingerPrint, on sale for $9.99. Both programs are easy to set up and provide a reliable connection between your printer and your iPad.
Another key function for the iPad is video conferencing. The iPad 2 came preloaded with Apple's FaceTime, a great program as long as you were calling people on other iOS devices or Macs (sorry, Windows users!). Like many of you, I am an avid user of Skype, a great program that is now available for the iPad 2 for free. Call clarity has been great on my tests. Even better, Skype opens up your video conferencing circle beyond the Mac universe.
The iPad still has a long way to go before I can replace my laptop, but it is definitly getting closer.
